Le Chalet des Ronces is an adorable self-contained cabin located in the woods of the Belgian Ardennes. It's an ideal little paradise for couples to disconnect completely. Communication is easy, in French, Dutch, English, Italian or Spanish.

The owner's name is Candy and we're on contact permanent contact with her. She and her husband live in Belgium, having traveled and worked abroad for many years. The cabin has been transformed into a home over the years, and used to belong to a forest ranger. It has been lovingly renovated by Candy and her husband.

After driving about 2km through the woods, you arrive at the site. There is always someone to welcome you and explain things to you. Then, you are alone in the world to enjoy your refuge. The hut has no opposite, the calm is absolute.

Facilities include 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen with oven and fridge, and living room with open fire. There is gas heating throughout. Many accessories are left at your disposal: pots, glasses, cups, plates, garbage bags, salt, pepper, coffee and tea.

Note: you must bring your own sheets. This includes: fitted sheet for mattress 180x200, comforter cover 240x220 and 2 pillowcases 50x60. You must also bring your own bath sheets and, if necessary, a bath mat and a dish towel. Rental is only possible for 2 people and possibly 1 child.

Outside, enjoy a barbecue, table and chairs. Wood is available for the open fire in the living room.

The cabin is entirely self-sufficient in energy, thanks to solar panels and a pump connected to the nearby pond. There is a dependence on light and weather.

If comfort is important to you, we advise you to book when it's not too cold, in spring, summer and early autumn. In winter, of course, it's still possible, but the experience is more raw, more authentic. Please note that it is always possible to postpone a reservation if temperatures drop sharply.

For your meals, you can have dishes delivered from the local restaurant close to the cabin. Don't hesitate to ask Candy for details when you book! Breakfast is not available on site.

Le Chalet des Ronces is located near Gouvy, in the Province of Luxembourg, in the Belgian Ardennes. There are many walks around the Chalet. About 30 minutes away by car, don't miss the Hérou, a splendid, mysterious and heritage-listed site. There are a few nuggets in there if you like walking. The flora and fauna are unique.
