La Douceur de l'Oise is a pleasure pavilion on the edge of a private pond, recently renovated as a romantic gîte. You're 6 kilometers from Chimay, in the Belgian Ardennes. Nightly rates start at around €250 for 2 people. The rate decreases if you stay longer. If you book at the weekend, you'll benefit from late check-out on Sundays until 8pm!
The chalet has a large bedroom with a unique king-size bed, custom-made by a carpenter. There's also a fireplace with pellet stove in the bedroom. Other rooms include a fully-equipped kitchen with Nespresso coffee machine and Smeg fridge, a cozy bathroom with stone basin and a sitting area where you can admire the view through the large picture windows.
All furnishings have been carefully selected using quality materials and Canadian wood. The interior design is meticulous, down to the smallest detail.
If it's raining or snowing outside, the atmosphere becomes very cosy. Plaids, candles, board games, slippers and bathrobes are provided free of charge. There's also a Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Outside, there are plenty of places to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Firstly, a small balcony with a small table and 2 chairs where you can enjoy your morning breakfast, lulled by the lapping of the water and the song of the birds.
A little further on, you come across a pontoon with 2 armchairs and a small table. A drink or aperitif on this pontoon is highly recommended to fully appreciate this bucolic setting! At the edge of the pond, relax on the large sofas provided.

The pavilion is located not far from the Cendron ponds in Forge-Philippe. An ideal spot for fishing enthusiasts! A little further afield, in Chimay, don't miss tourist attractions such as the Aquascope, the Grange au Papillon or the Abbey of Notre Dame de Scourmont and its famous Belgian Trappist beer: La Chimay.
