La Suite de Blé is an oasis of tranquility in the heart of the countryside, a 20-minute drive from Namur, Belgium. You're in the romantic Ferme de Basseilles. What we liked best: the size of the suite, the sitting area with its divinely comfortable sofa, the designer bathtub, the private spa with Jacuzzi and the picturesque surroundings. It's a bit like being in Tuscany.

We were lucky enough to spend a night in the suite, meeting the owners and walking around the estate. The place is authentic and just super pleasant.

On the morning of your arrival day, you'll receive all your booking details by SMS. Arrival is entirely self-guided. The view of the farm from the road is truly magnificent. We found this painting to give you an idea. You can arrive as early as 5pm. If you have any worries, the team is practically always on hand at the farm, and Léa is always contactable.

In the suite, you'll enjoy the following facilities: bedroom with very comfortable bedding, fully equipped kitchen, bluestone sink, romantic bathtub perched high up, and sitting area with Smart TV and sofa of unrivalled comfort. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Outside, a private wellness area is available as an option. It is located approximately 50 meters from the suite. Facilities include outdoor Jacuzzi, sauna, Nordic bucket and shower. Self-service bathrobes and slippers.

When the weather's nice, take a walk around the farm - it's a fantastic environment! There are lots of animals: 2 adorable dogs, a pig, a goat, cows and horses.

There's also a wide choice of drinks, including Beaujolais Saint-Amour red wine (€25), Sauvignon de Touraine or Sauvignon gris blanc Brancott white wine (€25), Grenache Solar6 rosé (€25), Crémant de Loire (€50), local beer, Belgian apple juice or Belgian lemonade.

La Suite de Blé is ideally located near Gesves, about 20 minutes from Namur in Wallonia. If you'd like to explore the surrounding area, we suggest a visit to the Grottes de Goyet, a rare and protected underground heritage site housing one of Europe's most prestigious prehistoric sites.

To eat close to home, we liked Restaurant Nous, just a few minutes' drive away: very tasty dishes and a top-notch team. The second night, we opted for a Netflix evening and tried Le Couscoussier via Uber Eats: very, very good!
