When you arrive, you will be greeted in French, Dutch or English. The castle offers 20 rooms, suites and cottages with luxurious and authentic decoration. Discover also the Dinning Tower and its incredible medieval atmosphere.
The history of the domain goes back to the 8th century and the ancestors of Charlemagne, king of the Franks. In 955, Étienne, Count of Ivois and Porcien, decided to build a fortified castle on the estate, which did not please Albert, the abbot of the nearby Saint-Hubert abbey, who considered that the estate belonged to him. This was the first conflict of a long series that would last through the centuries.
In the end, the castle was destroyed and rebuilt many times. The present building was built between 1706 and 1734 on the remains of the previous fiefs.
The hotel offers today 20 residences: 2 classic rooms, 9 superb suites from 70 to 220m², 7 family cottages located in the annex building and 2 rooms located in the Tour de Dînant, formerly a defensive tower and now restored with stone walls and exposed beams. The interior decoration is inspired by the environment: wood, leather and local stone. The atmosphere is noble and warm.
The restaurant of the castle, Le Bergis, offers an inventive cuisine with high quality flavors, magnified by the Chef Pajtim Bajrami. With creations full of colors and textures, he mixes art and cuisine. He uses fresh and authentic ingredients, always with respect. A vegetarian menu is available. In the evening, there is often live music and harp.
