An Exceptional Estate
For Lo Rey du Lac, it all began in 2010 when Anne and Pascal, the charming owners, decided to return to their native region to start a new life in the family home. The house is a charming 18th-century farmhouse in the Landes region, and the first guest rooms opened there in 2011. It was the beginning of a great and exciting family adventure...
The setting is exceptional: the maritime pine forest is a natural haven where a few mischievous squirrels, deer, and a pair of wild boars nicknamed Maurice and Mauricette live peacefully. Not to mention a gentle symphony of birds.
What we love: There are no neighbors directly across the way, a homemade breakfast is included, and the hospitality is warm and generous. Cleanliness is a top priority for Anne, Pascal, and the entire team. The place is meticulously cleaned every day—and you can tell as soon as you arrive.

We especially love the 180° view of the forest from the bubbles, the charm of the Kota—that Finnish cabin straight out of a fairy tale—the colorful decor of the Dome, and the squirrels that come to eat on the cabin’s terrace.
Depending on the accommodation you choose, you’ll enjoy the following amenities: a queen-size bed, a patio with a Softub hot tub, patio furniture, a hammock, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, towels, running water, a kitchenette with a refrigerator, a minibar, a Nespresso coffee machine, and a kettle, heating, a fan or air conditioning, Wi-Fi…
Dining options
Every morning, a delicious breakfast is quietly delivered to your accommodations. It is simply exceptional. Everything is fresh and homemade.
On the menu, depending on the season: traditional brioche baked at dawn (absolutely amazing!), homemade pastries, crêpes, pancakes, cookies, brownies, fresh fruit salad, tea, coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice. It’s actually more of a brunch than a breakfast.
For the evening, you have two options.
For example, a catered meal consisting of a tomato confit tatin or pizza, raw vegetables, tabbouleh, beets, a charcuterie platter, cheese, pastries, and bread. Or, a premium menu in which the charcuterie and cheese are replaced by a platter of house-made semi-cured foie gras, pearl jelly, and smoked salmon.
A menu featuring champagne, dry and sweet white wines, red and rosé wines, beer, and soft drinks is also available. Please be sure to reserve your selections at least 48 hours before your arrival date.
In the Heart of the Landes
The property enjoys an exceptional location: 300 meters from Lake Hossegor, 5 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, 1 hour from Biarritz, and 2 hours and 30 minutes from Bordeaux. Set out to discover the treasures of southwestern France—its fine sandy beaches, surf spots, rugged cliffs, quaint villages, and renowned vineyards...
Here, we celebrate Espelette pepper, Bayonne ham, sheep's-milk cheese, delicious Bordeaux cannelés, and, of course, wine.
Please note that motor vehicle traffic is strictly limited on the property. You can leave your vehicle in the designated parking lot and then walk to your accommodations, located in the heart of the forest.
