Here, authenticity is the key word. The house, built in the 17th century by a family of silk manufacturers, was entirely renovated during 7 years and transformed into b&b by Emma and Valentin. The place is splendid, atypical and very relaxing. A real favorite of Let's Go My Love.
You can choose one of the 4 rooms: Côté Jardin, Côté Luberon, Côté Alpilles or Pénitents Blancs. The decoration is rustic, refined and charming with, depending on the room, exposed beams, a high French ceiling or a decorative fireplace.
The rooms are bathed in light throughout the day. You will benefit from a queen size bed and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower.
To get your day off to a good start, have breakfast (included in your reservation) in the Posterlon's common room. On the menu: tea, coffee, seasonal fruit, delicious home-made jams, croissants, bread, etc. Weather permitting, you can have breakfast in a shaded area of the garden next to the swimming pool, which is open from April.
In the evening, there is also a table d'hôtes. According to the seasons, Emma and Valentin propose varied menus, based on fresh products, seasonal vegetables, and giving pride of place to local producers and breeders. Don't miss the tasty ratatouille au gratin with vegetables from the garden. A pure delight. When you leave, the Provençal vegetables, local herbs and local wines will hold no secrets for you!
Wine lovers, the Posterlon cellar will undoubtedly be your little corner of paradise. During a tasting session orchestrated by the owner of the place, contemplate, breathe and savour these treasures produced by the numerous and often unknown wine-producing estates in the area. Trained at the wine university of Suze-la-Rousse, Valentin will always guide you towards the grape variety that suits you best.
Caumont-sur-Durance is a typical village, very well situated in the Vaucluse. Avignon is 20 minutes to the west and L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is 15 minutes to the east. You are very close to the Mont Ventoux, the Alpilles and the Luberon.
