Life at home
Here, authenticity is the watchword. The house, built in the 17th century by a family of silk merchants, was completely renovated over a period of seven years by Patricia and Pascal, the owners.
Today, Valentin and Emma (the son and his wife) have proudly taken over the family guesthouse and offer you a warm welcome. The place is splendid, unique, and very relaxing. A real favorite of Let's Go My Love.
To get your day off to a good start, enjoy breakfast (included in your reservation) in the Posterlon's common room. On the menu: tea, coffee, seasonal fruit, delicious homemade jams, croissants, bread, etc. Weather permitting, you can enjoy breakfast in a shaded area of the garden, next to the pool, which is open from April onwards.
In the evening, there's also a table d'hôtes. Depending on the season, Emma and Valentin offer a variety of menus based on fresh produce and seasonal vegetables, with a special focus on local producers and breeders. Don't miss the tasty ratatouille au gratin with garden vegetables. A pure delight. When you leave, you'll know all about Provençal vegetables, local herbs and local wines!
One of the house's most beautiful features is the superb outdoor swimming pool. Open during the season, it is surrounded by old stones typical of Provençal villages, antique objects, and a few deckchairs where you can take a break in the sun. We love the small stone fountain that flows directly into the pool. Next to it, a small green garden area with an olive tree provides a little shade.
Wine lovers, the Posterlon cellar will undoubtedly be your little corner of paradise. During a tasting session orchestrated by the proprietor, contemplate, breathe in and savor the treasures produced by the many, often little-known wineries in the area. Trained at the wine university of Suze-la-Rousse, Valentin will always guide you towards the grape variety that suits you best.
A typical Provençal village
Le Posterlon located in Caumont-sur-Durance, a typical village in the Vaucluse region. Take a stroll through its ancient streets and along its medieval ramparts. We recommend stopping by the 12th-century Saint-Symphorien Chapel, which features the remains of a Roman garden—a true testament to a thousand-year-old past.
Just a 15-minute drive away, L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue—nicknamed the “Venice of Provence”—charms visitors with its canals, historic waterwheels, antique shops, and lively markets.
