We've put together a list of romantic accommodations located in the heart of small Provençal villages

Gordes, Roussillon, Ménerbes, Lourmarin, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, and Les Baux-de-Provence are all wonderful options. Each has its own unique charm: hilltop villages, historic stone buildings, terraces, and postcard-perfect scenery. At Let's Go My Love, we also enjoy seeking out lesser-known villages where the atmosphere remains more peaceful.
Gordes is probably the most spectacular choice for a first visit, while Lourmarin is particularly pleasant if you enjoy walking to dinner. Roussillon offers a truly unique setting with its ochre cliffs. For a romantic weekend, be sure to choose a village where you’ll want to wander aimlessly.
Stay in the village if you like going out at night, having a drink, and walking home. Choose the countryside for the peace and quiet, the views, and the estates with swimming pools. During our tours for Let's Go My Love, we often have a soft spot for the mas and bastides located just a few minutes from a beautiful village.
The most unique accommodations are sometimes tucked away just outside the villages: old sheepfolds, cave houses, estates nestled among olive groves, or small suites in historic buildings. Some of these rare finds also feature a private terrace or a hot tub with a view of the Provençal hills.
May, June, September, and early October offer a wonderful balance between pleasant weather and more manageable crowds. In July and August, the most famous villages can get very busy during the day. Staying overnight allows you to enjoy them early in the morning and in the evening, when the atmosphere becomes more intimate again.
Don't try to see ten of them in two days. Pick two or three nearby villages, book a nice place to stay, and leave time for detours. A morning market, a scenic drive, lunch on a terrace, and an impromptu sunset often make for better memories than a schedule packed to the minute.
