We've put together a list of romantic accommodations located in the Var department of France

For the coast, check out Hyères, Bormes-les-Mimosas, or the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. For a more secluded atmosphere, head inland to the vineyards and villages. At Let's Go My Love, we love this contrast: it only takes a few kilometers to go from the Mediterranean to a much wilder side of Provence.
Venture a little way inland from the coast and explore the wine estates, small villages, and the Var hinterland. There you’ll find bastides, guesthouses, and unique lodgings surrounded by pine trees or vineyards. You’ll remain close to the sea while finding it much easier to enjoy the quiet in the evening.
Bormes-les-Mimosas is stunning for its narrow streets and flower-bedecked houses. Cotignac offers a very different Provençal atmosphere, while Gassin and Ramatuelle let you enjoy the Gulf of Saint-Tropez from their magnificent hilltop villages. It’s often best to stay overnight so you can explore the narrow streets once the crowds have thinned out.
Instead, look in the countryside and in rural areas surrounded by nature. You’ll find a few cabins, lodges, and unique suites with private hot tubs, sometimes surrounded by vineyards or forests. During our research for Let’s Go My Love, we prioritize places where the hot tub is truly intimate and where the setting is part of the experience.
Choose the coast if you dream of coves, beaches, and dining overlooking the Mediterranean. The inland area is better suited for slowing down, exploring markets, and staying in a beautiful, peaceful country house. For two or three nights, the ideal compromise might be to stay inland while remaining close to the sea.
May, June, September, and early October are particularly pleasant. The weather is usually mild enough to enjoy the outdoors, and the atmosphere is more peaceful than in the height of summer. July and August are still wonderful, but the most popular spots get very crowded: book early if you’re looking for a hidden gem or a unique room.
