We stayed here and had a wonderful night. The arrival at the castle is grandiose, the building is really splendid. Especially in the early evening. The person at reception was very welcoming. Special mention also to the person who took care of our breakfast table. The entire team is multilingual, speaking Dutch, French, English and German.
There are 35 carefully decorated rooms and suites. Depending on the room or suite you choose, you'll enjoy the following amenities: king-size bedding (we slept really well!), private bathroom with bath or shower, welcome products by Guerlain, coffee machine, perfect soundproofing, exposed beams, air conditioning, period chandelier and luxurious interior decor.
We had room 204 and it wasn't the best, as it was a little too close to the stairs. In the late evening, there is sometimes noise from the restaurant (downstairs) or from the speakers in the ceiling playing music. To be on the safe side, ask for a room as far away from reception and the stairs as possible.
If you'd like to relax, the hotel boasts a private wellness area with hammam, Finnish sauna, infrared seats and sensory shower. Reservations can be made at reception or by telephone. Only guests are admitted to the wellness center. Access is included in the reservation.
For your meals, don't miss the Aurum gourmet restaurant, run by chef Gary Kirchens and his team. High-level cuisine and sophisticated flavor combinations. Taste the house champagne named after the Château, which has its own production... Excellent! There's also a slightly more relaxed brasserie: Bistro Richard.
In the evening, enjoy a couple's drink in the hotel's eclectic and colorful colonial bar. Enjoy a wide range of cocktails in one of the lounge's many seats. Pieter Porters' decoration gives this bar a very personal and pleasant touch.
