AquaLodge is a fantastic, unusual 3* hotel located in the Molignée valley, south of Namur in Wallonia, Belgium. It's a natural estate with 8 luxurious chalets built around a private pond. We visited AquaLodge and were lucky enough to spend the night there. It was a very sunny day and we had a fantastic time! Our lodge was perfectly clean, well placed and even better than on the photos. The management is very professional and the online reviews are unanimous.

You arrive at the site via a small country road. There is private parking. The team (it's often Maëlle) is present every day from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm to welcome you and visit your chalet. Communication can be done in French, Dutch and English. If you arrive later, there is a secure box that allows you to return to your chalet independently.

When you reach your chalet, you will discover a large natural pond around which are erected 8 chalets on stilts. Each chalet has a name: the Chill of Water, the Dream of the Water Lily, the Swan Walk, etc. The chalets are well separated and your privacy is perfectly preserved. A 9th dwelling, a trailer, is located a little further back, on the mainland.

The 9 accommodations are luxuriously appointed in mountain style. Depending on your choice, you'll enjoy the following amenities: king-size bed, comfortable armchairs, toilet, small private kitchen, wooden shower or bathtub, TV, wifi and a glass floor that lets you see the water and the fish. Wood and fur are used throughout, creating a warm, cocooning atmosphere.

When it rains or snows, the atmosphere in the lodge is very pleasant. All lodges have a wood-burning stove with everything you need to start a fire: kindling, firelighters and logs. There are also plaids, umbrellas, a Dyson electric heater, an electric kettle with tea provided, a coffee machine with coffee provided and a TV with Proximus TV provided and Netflix via your own subscription.

All cottages have a covered outdoor terrace where you can enjoy an aperitif or breakfast in the morning with the calm of the water and the singing of the birds. There are no mosquitoes that can get inside your cottage because they are chased away by other insects that live on the pond.

There are extras:

- Le Prince de l'Étang" breakfast with pastries, bread, jam, fruit juice, dairy products and fruit (34€ for 2 people)
- Reine Libellule" breakfast with, in addition to the Prince de l'Étang, eggs, bacon, dream pastries and even... bubbles! (€50 for 2 people)
- Aperitif basket with delicious local produce, good local beers and delicious Maredsous cheese (24€ for 2 people)
- Festin des Lucioles" meal tray with several hot and cold culinary creations, such as smoked salmon or foie gras. A dessert is also included (70€ for 2 people).
- Selection of wines and bubbles in your minibar: take what you like and pay as you go.
- Massage session: 30 min or 60 min massage directly in your chalet, only 1 person at a time, not possible in the roulotte, to be booked at least 48 hours in advance (from 75€)

The area is full of activities to do and impressive places to see. It is possible to rent a bicycle to go for a walk. We advise you to visit the Abbey of Maredsous at only 10 minutes by car. It is the second most visited place in Wallonia after Pairi Daiza. Exceptional setting, beautiful terrace and great serenity. Beer and cheese at the top!
