Our stay
We visited the Golden Lakes Hotel and were lucky enough to have very sunny weather. It was great. Getting there is easy, you first pass through the village (which we won't go into here as it's more for families) and arrive at the hotel. You'll be greeted at reception in French, Dutch or English. Pleasant, smiling staff.
Rooms and studios
There are 79 rooms, studios and apartments, divided into different modules of pure, designer architecture. You have an extraordinary panoramic view of the lake and surrounding park. If you'd like some advice, book by phone and ask for a room with the best possible view of the lake.

We stayed in the VIP suite (closest to the lake and therefore the quietest) and the view was simply perfect.
Depending on your choice, you have the following equipment: king size bedding with divine comfort, private bathroom with shower and/or bathtub, private kitchen, Nespresso machine, office area, living room with sofa on daybed, fridge, wifi, Smart TV with Netflix, large bay windows, private terrace and air conditioning.
The wellness area and the float spa
During the day, go to the wellness area for a moment of pure relaxation. It can accommodate a maximum of 14 people at the same time to guarantee peace and privacy for everyone. Don't forget to book your slot in advance. The price starts at 45€ per person for 2 hours. There are 2 saunas, steam room, jacuzzi, indoor pool, outdoor terrace and many massages.
A unique experience is offered in the wellness: the float spa. You float on the water in a private cocoon for 60 minutes. The salt water at body temperature gives you a weightlessness effect. It's a really nice feeling, especially with the lighting and the relaxing music all around you. It's hard not to take a nap! And you come out feeling recharged.
The brewery overlooking the lake
For your meals, go to the Brasserie des Lacs, a bistronomic restaurant with a view on the lake. On the terrace or inside, you can have breakfast or dinner in the evening. Enjoy the chef's delicately prepared dishes in an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. Ask for a table near the window when you make your reservation, it is the quietest.
If you prefer to dine in the privacy of your room or studio, you can also order takeout from the Brasserie. In that case, please pick up your order by 6:30 p.m.
A well-preserved Walloon gem
Nearby, we recommend you visit the dam with access to the skywalk at 70 meters high for a breathtaking view.
The Eau d’Heure Lakes region is located 40 minutes from Charleroi and 1.5 hours from Brussels, in Wallonia. It’s truly a unique place in Belgium. The area is still relatively unspoiled, clean, and not overrun with tourists. You can go kayaking, sailing, biking, and even water skiing.

The Lacs de l'Eau d'Heure region is located 40 minutes from Charleroi and 1h30 from Brussels, in Wallonia. It is really a unique place in Belgium. Many ballads to make and villages to discover. It is invigorating! The place is still quite preserved, clean and not invaded by tourists. You can go kayaking and sailing.
