Cimeo is a unique concept located in Villers-le-Temple, in the Liege region of Belgium. Discover 3 luxury lodges nestled in the canopy. They are hidden by trees and set on a wooded hillside with a breathtaking view over the valley. The style is inspired by contemporary Californian homes. Here's a video that perfectly sums up the atmosphere on site.

Our experience here
We had the opportunity to spend a night here and it was fantastic. Here's what we loved: the quality of the materials used, which you wouldn't necessarily guess from the photos, the spectacular view, the many walks in the area and the feeling of being away from it all. We had a beer with the owner.
Cimeo is the childhood dream of 2 nature-loving neighbors who, as children, already dreamed of building tree houses: Thomas and Pierre. This crazy project, the fruit of 2 years' work, embodies the culmination of a vision: to offer a unique experience in Belgium and a feeling of total disconnection at the top of the world.
Thomas is in charge of reservations. He speaks French, Dutch and English.
There is a private parking lot on site where you can leave your car. The climb up to the huts is an adventure in itself. You climb 25 meters up a staircase integrated into the landscape. The staircase is illuminated at night.
Our advice: don't come with a big suitcase, as it's quite steep for several minutes. We recommend you take a small bag or even a backpack.
The minimum stay is normally 1 night on weekdays and 2 nights at weekends. Check-out is possible until 11am on weekdays and... 3pm on Sundays!
Some optional extras available on site:
- Breakfast (€25 for 2 people)
- Belgian sparkling Chardonnay (€35)
- Bottle of red or white wine (€24)
- Bottle of Li Cinse beer (€4)
The cabins
These cabins are spaced out perfectly and each offers plenty of privacy. We tried the White cabin, but we also got to check out the other two. Rest assured: the cabins are very similar, and the price is the same.
Here are the three cabins:
1 • The Wood • Photo
2 • The Black • Photo
3 • The White • Photo
Depending on the cabin you choose, you'll enjoy the following amenities: queen-size bed from Jeebee in Verviers (really perfect), private bathroom with shower, outdoor bathtub, Phytomer welcome products, fully-equipped kitchen, basic ingredients for cooking, eco-friendly coffee machine, triple glazing and very pleasant temperatures all year round.
Bed linen and towels are provided. There is no wifi.
The large picture windows offer an unobstructed view of the forest and allow you to enjoy the light gently filtered through the trees. It's not unusual to spot squirrels, deer or even a kingfisher near the nearby stream.
There's one thing you can't really tell from the photos: the interior resembles a true hotel suite, and the materials are top-of-the-range. Every detail, from the wooden table to the stonework in the grounds, comes from the hands of local craftsmen.
Here are just a few examples: electronic code locks, Somfy blinds that can all open and close at the same time, and designer furniture by Belgian brand Bandi.
For the record, the project's ironworker, who built the metal structure for the foundations, lives just down the road. He helped build the Princess Elisabeth polar station in Antarctica.
High in the treetops
The Cimeo cabins are located in the village of Villers le Temple, in Belgium's Condroz region. On the evening of our getaway, we had a burger at Huggy's Bar in Nandrin. Great stuff!
