The concept
There are two rooms available on site, each with three ofuros. An ofuro is like a wooden bathtub and can accommodate up to three people. If you book a session for two, the entire room is reserved exclusively for you. It doesn't cost any more, and you can truly enjoy your privacy.
A session usually lasts 1 hour, but you are welcome to book a 2- or 3-hour session. Please allow 5 minutes at the beginning of the session for check-in and a brief explanation, and 5 minutes at the end of the session to get dressed.
During your session, you can help yourself to as many beers as you’d like. The beer served is Baptiste, a Belgian beer from Brouwerij Van Steenberghe in Flanders. This blonde beer is slightly bitter and very flavorful, perfectly complementing your beer spa experience. It won a silver medal at the 2019 World Beer Challenge.
The bathtub
Ofuros are traditional Japanese baths that measure 1.90 meters long and 1 meter wide. Hygiene is a top priority for our team, which is why only the exterior of the wooden tub is made of wood; the interior is made of synthetic material. Everything is thoroughly cleaned after each session.
The tub is filled with hot water, to which a mixture of beer and its main ingredients—malt, hops, brewer’s yeast, and water—is added. Because these ingredients contain a high concentration of vitamins, minerals, and essential oils, they are beneficial for the skin and hair. The water has a delightful herbal scent. You feel great after the session—it’s very pleasant and smells wonderful.
Location
Good Beer Spa is located in Saint-Josse, in the center of Brussels, about a 10-minute drive from the Grand Place. Our favorite spots in the Belgian capital: the Châtelain neighborhood and its trendy restaurants, the Sablon neighborhood, the Marolles flea market on Sunday mornings, and the Bois de la Cambre for a long walk.
If you'd like to eat near the spa, we recommend Chez FIRAS, an excellent little Syrian restaurant.

At a beer spa, beer is used to provide a variety of benefits, including relaxation and stress relief, moisturizing the skin and hair, and muscle relief.
The price includes 1 hour of relaxation with unlimited access to draft beer right next to your bathtub.
Don't forget to bring slippers, as they are required. If you'd like, you can bring your swimsuit, but it's not required since the sessions are private. Darker-colored swimsuits are recommended to avoid hop stains after the first wash.

The beer is the Baptist, a clear, top-fermented lager that is slightly bitter, full-bodied, with a sweet aftertaste and 5% alcohol.
No, you won't walk out drunk or smell like beer. There will just be that very pleasant aroma from the aromatic hops.
