Our experience
We stayed here for 1 night and our stay was magical from start to finish. What we liked best: the charm of the hotel and public areas, the comfort of the bedding, the Guerlain welcome products, the atmosphere in the hotel and the beauty of the romantic bar.
Since 2022, the hotel has been one of the top 500 hotels in the world. This ranking is published in the prestigious American magazine Travel+Leisure. Each year, nearly 8 million readers vote. A well-deserved reward when you discover the hotel.
Entering the hotel is like stepping back in time, with sloping ceilings, antique wooden floors, marble bathrooms, authentic skylights, period furniture evoking the glory days of the post office, linen sofas and a turret with a 360° view of Ghent's historic center.
The staff is very attentive and speaks several languages: Dutch, French, English and Spanish.

On the 1st floor, The Kitchen invites you to start the day with a delicious homemade American breakfast buffet. Everything is served from the authentic kitchen. The open fire in this common area creates a warm atmosphere, ideal for relaxing or chatting quietly.
On the menu: crispy pastries, fresh bread, pancakes and gourmet cakes, boiled or fried eggs, bacon and cold cuts, yogurt, jams, fresh fruit, fruit juices, and hot drinks...
During the day or in the evening, head to The Cobbler bar for a drink or a bite to eat. It's undoubtedly one of the most romantic and elegant places in Belgium. The atmosphere is chic, refined and truly magical. All cocktails are signature and lovingly prepared by the staff.
