Refugio is an authentic chalet ideally located in Nonceveux, a small village 30 minutes from Liège, Belgium. The place has a unique charm thanks to the materials chosen: logs, parquet flooring and local blue stone in particular. It's like being in a mountain refuge. A few tips when booking
- There are 3 rates: 220€ on Sundays, 280€ from Monday to Thursday and 350€ on Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays.
- The rate always includes: towels, bathrobes, tea, coffee, 2 sparkling waters and 2 soft drinks.
- If you book last minute, send a message to the owner via Whatsapp and you may get a discount (not guaranteed, but worth a try).

A passionate homeowner
We've had a very good relationship with Grégory, the owner, for several years now. We talk very regularly. Grégory traveled extensively in his youth, including 5 years in Peru, 6 months in Guatemala and 6 months in Brazil. He speaks French, Dutch, English, Spanish and Portuguese. He's absolutely passionate about what he does, and you can tell right away when you read the online reviews! The experience is perfect.
The cabin
Refugio stands out with a real quality label: it's a complete, independent house with 4 facades, there are no direct neighbours, the private spa can be used indefinitely, you enter independently and the service is discreet: Grégory is not on site, but can always be contacted if there are any problems.
On site, you'll discover a genuine log cabin. You can easily park your car right in front of it. What we really like: there's no privacy. Whether you're inside or out on the private terrace, no one can see you. You're all alone in the world.
Inside, the atmosphere is extremely comfortable and warm. The following rooms are at your disposal: fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room with Smart TV, bathroom, walk-in shower and bedroom. When it's cold outside, it's a real pleasure to light the pellet stove and curl up in a plaid blanket in front of a good TV series.
Outside, take time to discover the sauna, the XXL covered Jacuzzi, the entirely private terrace and the outdoor table for romantic dining or simply sipping a drink outside.

The chalet is tucked away in a village near Aywaille, in the Province of Liège, Belgium. One of Belgium's most beautiful hiking trails is just a few minutes away by car: the Promenade du Ninglinspo. The scenery is breathtaking! Also discover the Grottes de Remouchamps and explore a fascinating underground world on a boat trip through ancient caverns.
Not far away, we had the opportunity to discover the Charmille du Haut Marêt, and it was a real "coup de coeur". It's a 600-meter walkway covered with branches that form a veritable canopy of vegetation. It's a magnificent place in any season, and the longest walk of its kind in Europe.
