We had the opportunity to spend a memorable night in the Cabane Perchée. What we liked best: the intimacy of the cabin and each accommodation, the interior decoration, the breakfast with scrambled eggs, the romantic table under the cabin, the horses nearby that sometimes come to say hello, and the comfort of the bed. It was very restful.
When you arrive on site, you can choose between a personal welcome from Alix and Edouard or a self-guided arrival, without meeting anyone. The view of the surrounding countryside is superb. Everything is ready when you arrive, and the Nordic bath is pre-heated. Alix attaches great importance to the first few minutes.

Depending on the accommodation you choose, you'll enjoy the following facilities: king-size or large double bed, comfortable bedding, shower, sink, toilet, bathrobes, towels, fridge, plates, glasses, private terrace, Nordic bath, brazier and outdoor table and chairs.

In the evening, you have several choices for dining. There's the roadside Friterie Catherine, just a few minutes' drive away. Delicious and cheap! We didn't find a restaurant that delivers on Deliveroo or Uber Eats, but there is one in Ciney that delivers sushi: Le Bonheur. It's the only one we know of.
Just a short distance from Dinant
La Ferme du Ry located in Taviet, a village about a 10-minute drive from Dinant and 1 hour and 20 minutes from Brussels. A beautiful 2-hour hike awaits you nearby: follow the red double triangle.
Just 15 minutes away, Dinant is tiny but full of charm: a citadel perched on the rocks, a Gothic collegiate church, and lively streets. If the weather is nice, treat yourself to a boat ride on the Meuse.
Not far away, the Furfooz Nature Reserve is a real gem: limestone cliffs, the banks of the Lesse River, caves, and prehistoric ruins, including the famous Trou du Grand Duc and its breathtaking view. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes.

La Ferme du Ry is located in Taviet, a village at 10 minutes drive from Dinant and 1h20 from Brussels. In the surroundings, we like the provincial domain of Chevetogne and the splendid nature reserve of Furfooz. Dinant is tiny but very pleasant. We advise you to plan a boat trip on the Meuse. Visit also the majestic citadel: a beautiful place full of history that overlooks the city.

You can arrive on site from 5pm or 5:30pm (depending on the accommodation) and depart until 11am.
