Our experience
We had the pleasure of visiting this exceptional place and chatting with Hervé, the owner. This project has a rich and fascinating history. The attention to detail is quite impressive. Absolutely everything has been thought through from start to finish to ensure you have a truly special experience. The online reviews are also extremely positive—be sure to check them out.
You can choose between 2 formulas: a dinner for 2 to 6 people in the restaurant, or a dinner for 4 to 18 people in the dedicated room next door. The concept is exactly the same, it's just that the setting is different. For a romantic dinner, our hearts go out to the table. Whereas for a family meal, the room next door is very nice and uncluttered.
If you wish, it is possible to sleep on site. There are 2 very modern bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and bath. You can sleep up to 6 people, as there's also a wall bed in the dining room. Of course, everything is private. Overnight stays start at around 187€ for 2 people, including bed linen.

The private dining room
You can arrive at the restaurant at any time, from 6pm in the evening and 10:30am for brunch. The front door opens with a code sent to you by email. The place is 100% yours. Everything is ready when you arrive. We love the subdued atmosphere and the finishing touches. The serenity of the place is truly irresistible.
During your meal, electricity is generated by a 3.7-meter-diameter bucket wheel located in the main room. It dates back to the 19th century and has been completely renovated. A clever way to combine the unusual, luxury and ecology.
The restaurant's amenities include a large table made from a complete redwood trunk by artist Kaspar Hamacher, tableware and decor from Fika in Battice, chairs from Mobitec, Smeg kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, wine cellar from Avintage, music speaker with tablet and vintage camera to capture the moment.
On the menu
On your plate, inventive cuisine full of flavour. A few examples in the evening: fillet of marcassin with a grand veneur sauce, vegetable pickles, wild mushroom risotto or large macaroni au gratin with porcini mushrooms from our forests, aged parmesan, chanterelle mushrooms and truffle oil... Delicious! The menu changes every 2 weeks on average.
On Mondays and Tuesdays, treat yourself to Swiss fondue featuring a delicious blend of Vacherin Fribourgeois, mild Gruyère, and aged Gruyère. A vegetarian menu is also available.
When it comes to drinks, the menu is just as extensive, featuring cocktails, mocktails, champagne, beer, soft drinks, wine, and digestifs. If you’d like, you can bring your own bottles for a corkage fee of €12 per bottle.
Weekend brunch
On Saturdays and Sundays, you can opt for the brunch formula from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and enjoy a special moment. Please note that brunch is only available if you stay overnight.
On the menu: fresh goat's cheese shaped by hand with edible flowers, assorted charcuterie and cheese, avocado toast (avocado, mint, feta, pomegranate, arugula), granola bowl, pancakes and pastries.
Between Verviers and Eupen
L'Eauget is located in Baelen, near Eupen, Belgium. A magnificent private parking lot is at your disposal, with 2 charging points for your electric vehicle.
If you want to take a walk in the area, don't miss the Lac de la Gileppe with its large dam. Climb the tower free of charge to enjoy 360° views of the surrounding countryside! The Fagnes are just 20 minutes away and are also perfect for an invigorating stroll.
