Anatura Hotel a 4-star superior hotel located on the shores of the two Weiswampach Lakes, in the north of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Belgium and Germany are just a few minutes’ drive away. It’s an exceptional destination featuring 90 rooms, a gourmet restaurant, a spa, a futuristic atrium, and a natural setting perfect for walks. We love this video, which really captures the atmosphere.

Our experience
We've had the opportunity to stay here twice, and we have fond memories of both visits.
What we like best here: the location near the forest and lakes, the pleasant woody scent throughout the hotel, the spa—which is truly one-of-a-kind in Belgium—the quality of the materials, the romantic atmosphere of the restaurant (some tables offer a view of the lake), the very friendly staff, and the ever-present sense of luxury and spaciousness.
First of all, you should know that the hotel is particularly modern and flexible. That’s not all that common, yet it’s so much appreciated.
Here are a few examples:
1. If you book directly, you can cancel your reservation free of charge until 6:00 PM on the day before your arrival date
2. The hotel’s official website is very well-designed and user-friendly, making it easy to book under the best conditions
3. Check-in is available from 3:00 PM and check-out is available until 11:00 AM (if needed, feel free to request a late check-out)
4. The hotel allows one dog per reservation for an additional fee, with special amenities: a soft mat, bowls, a toy, and treats
5. The staff speaks several languages, including German and Dutch
6. A large free parking lot is available right in front of the entrance
7. Wi-Fi is available immediately and without a password (as it should always be!)
Rooms and Suites
There are 90 rooms and suites. A rather rare feature: all rooms have a private terrace overlooking one of the two lakes. A real breath of fresh air, right in the heart of the Luxembourg countryside. During our first stay, we stayed in the Premium Suite (No. 201), which we highly recommend if you want to make it a special occasion. The bathtub is right in front of the bed.
Some of our favorite rooms:
1 • Comfort Room • Photo Photo
2 • Comfort Studio • Photo Photo
3 • Junior Suite • Photo Photo
4 • Premium Suite • Photo Photo
5 • Wellness Suite • Photo Photo
Depending on the room you choose, you'll enjoy the following amenities: minimum 30m² surface area, king-size bedding, private bathroom with Italian shower and/or whirlpool bathtub, whirlpool bathtub on the terrace, large picture window with view, coffee machine with capsules and Smart TV.
The rooms are arranged around a large, light-filled 3-storey atrium. It's really beautiful... Like suddenly feeling like you're on a futuristic spaceship or space station far from Earth. Nice view of the forest.
Tip: Ask for a room as high up as possible and as far away from the elevator as possible. Also mention that you're celebrating a special occasion, if that's the case.
Life in the hotel
In the evening, head to the fine-dining restaurant: Le Sensa. We’ve eaten there twice, and the service was always flawless, even though the wait was sometimes a little long. No big deal.
Our recommendations for the restaurant:
- Try to make a reservation for 6:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. if possible to get the best tables
- The restaurant is open even if you’re not staying at the hotel
- There are several types of tables: classic tables in the center of the restaurant, 7 large booth-style tables, 5 tables with a view of the lake, and a bar right in front of the kitchen with 7 additional seats. We recommend reserving a table in a private booth (our favorites) or a table with a view of the lake.
- Belgian chef Yves Mattagne created the restaurant’s menu. He holds two Michelin stars. The yuzu cod is incredible (the butter sauce… my god), and Mattagne’s broccolini with tzatziki should also win you over.
- The atmosphere is beautifully curated: fresh flowers, stunning ceiling lights, a small lamp on each table, and potted plants between the tables.
- Looking for a wine recommendation? We really enjoyed the White Scandal, a wine from Puglia with a surprising passion fruit aroma.
Late in the evening, why not stop by the hotel’s Lounge Bar, right next to the restaurant? The bar is, of course, open all day. They offer a wide selection of wines by the glass, as well as cocktails and non-alcoholic mocktails. The bartender is very friendly. Try one of the four signature cocktails: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.
In the morning, breakfast is served in the restaurant starting at 7:00 a.m. as a continental buffet. On the menu: fresh, homemade, or locally sourced items. You can also have breakfast in your room for an additional €10. During our second stay, the in-room breakfast was particularly exceptional—one of the best we’ve had on the entire Let’s Go My Love tour.
The Only Spa of Its Kind in Belgium
Throughout the day, the expansive spa is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., inviting you to enjoy a moment of pure pleasure. Capacity is limited, and you must reserve a 3-hour time slot.
We've had the opportunity to try out many spas in Belgium, and this one is among the most beautiful and largest.
Highlights include: an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, several outdoor hot tubs, an indoor hot tub, several saunas, a cold cave, a steam room, a quiet zone, and 8 treatment rooms dedicated to spa rituals.
A campsite surrounded by nature
Anatura Hotel ideally located in a natural setting, far from everything, in the north of Luxembourg. Luxembourg City is 45 minutes away and Cologne is 2 hours away. Feel free to ask for ideas for walks at reception. If you exit through the atrium, there is a lovely 2-hour route that winds through the forest.
Another idea if the weather is rainy: the Massen Shopping Center, 10 minutes away. A very pleasant shopping center that is well known in the region, with prices lower than in Belgium.
