The owners, Marie and Gabriel, are particularly warm and attentive hosts. They pamper you at every opportunity. They worked for 2 years to completely transform this barn into a unique place in Belgium. The challenge has been met with flying colors!

Prices start at around €274 per night for 2 people. What's included: unlimited use of the wellness area, bed linen, a set of 3 towels per person (1 for the shower, 1 for the Nordic bath and 1 for the sauna), a warm bathrobe, tea from L'Artisan du Café delicatessen, Nespresso coffee and night masks for a good night's sleep.

A few tips if you're planning a surprise:

1. If you would like to come a few hours before check-in to "prepare" the barn with a personalized decoration, this is possible.
2. Marie and Gabriel normally offer a guided tour of the barn on arrival. However, if you prefer to arrive on your own and discover the barn in complete privacy, please let us know when you make your reservation. Once this precious time has passed (30 min for example), simply send a message to Marie and Gabriel so that they can come and explain to you how the equipment works.
3. It's possible to order a massage in advance and then enjoy it on the spot.
4. For your meals, there's the All'Antico Italian delicatessen just a 5-minute drive from the barn.
5. A bottle of prosecco or champagne can be left in the fridge before your arrival.

On site, the first impression is incredible. It's huge and very impressive. At times, you have the impression of discovering a great pirate's treasure. On the agenda: top-of-the-range bedding, large Bluetooth speakers with extra sound quality, Nordic bath surrounded by sand, XXL wood-fired sauna with Himalayan salt stones, lounge area with comfortable armchairs, private cinema room and bathroom with panoramic shower.

What we love about the Nordic bath: it's permanently warm throughout your stay (including at night and in the early morning) and makes virtually no noise. Pure pleasure.

When it's raining or snowing, it's very cosy: coal-fired stove (named after Lucifer), candlesticks with candles, around 30 board games, Wii console on request, ping-pong table, darts and even an escape game (on prior reservation) costing €50 for 2 people and lasting between 1h and 1h30.

In the private cinema room, you have access to Prime, Disney, Netflix and Spotify. You can use the account provided by le Renard à Sornettes, you don't need to log in to your own account. Note: this room is only available if you are staying at least 2 nights or if you are a group.

In the morning, a very simple breakfast (€10 per person) is available. On the menu: fruit juice, milk and pastries from Le Vatel bakery, to bake yourself in the oven.

A few final remarks:

1. The sauna takes about 1h30 to heat up. Would you like to take advantage of the sauna as soon as you arrive? No problem, just let us know when you book.
2. When the nights are cool, we recommend that you wear warm, long-sleeved pyjamas. Plaids are available if you need them.
3. Bring good slippers to move around the barn easily.

Le Renard à Sornettes is located in Haneffe, near Liège, Belgium. The Guillemins train station is about 20 minutes away by car. There are many restaurants in the area, but we advise you to get a takeaway and make the most of your suite.
