A unique place in Belgium

Marie and Gabriel are particularly warm and attentive hosts. They pamper you at every opportunity. They worked for 2 years to completely transform this barn into a unique place in Belgium. The challenge has been met with flying colors!

Here are a few tips if you're planning a surprise:

1. If you’d like to arrive a few hours before check-in to “set up” the barn with your own decorations, that’s fine.
2. Marie and Gabriel usually offer a guided tour of the barn upon your arrival. However, if you prefer to arrive on your own and explore the place in privacy, please let us know when you book. Once you’ve had some time to settle in (30 minutes, for example), simply send a message to Marie and Gabriel so they can come explain how the facilities work.
3. You can book a massage in advance and enjoy it on-site.
4. For meals, there’s the Italian caterer All’Antico, a 5-minute drive from the barn.
5. A bottle of prosecco or champagne can be chilled for you before your arrival (optional).

A barn straight out of a movie

On site, the first impression is incredible. It's huge and very impressive. At times, you have the impression of discovering a great pirate's treasure. On the agenda: top-of-the-range bedding, large Bluetooth speakers with extra sound quality, Nordic bath surrounded by sand, XXL wood-fired sauna with Himalayan salt stones, lounge area with comfortable armchairs, private cinema room and bathroom with panoramic shower.

What we love about the Nordic bath: it's permanently warm throughout your stay (including at night and in the early morning) and makes virtually no noise. Pure pleasure.

In the private cinema room, you have access to Prime, Disney, Netflix and Spotify. You can use the account provided by le Renard à Sornettes, you don't need to log in to your own account. Note: this room is only available if you are staying at least 2 nights or if you are a group.

When it rains or snows, it's very cozy: a coal stove named Lucifer, candlesticks with candles, around thirty board games, a Wii console on request, a ping-pong table, darts, and even an escape game available by reservation for €50 for two people, lasting between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes.

If the nights are a little chilly, we recommend bringing warm, long-sleeved pajamas and comfortable slippers so you can move around easily in the barn. Blankets are available if needed.

Around Huy

Le Renard à Sornettes located in Haneffe, near Liège, in Belgium. Just a 22-minute drive away, Huy is easily explored on foot. Stroll through the historic old town, and admire its Grand-Place and its 15th-century fountain.

Perched above the city, the medieval fort offers a breathtaking view of the Meuse River. To get there, you can take the cable car—which is an experience in itself! Active travelers will enjoy the RAVeL trail, which runs along the Meuse River through lush green surroundings, perfect for exploring on foot or by bike.

Guillemins Station is about a 20-minute drive away. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, but we recommend picking up some takeout and making the most of your suite.
