Chalet Lombok is a brand-new retreat that opened in July 2026, located just a 5-minute drive from downtown Durbuy. It features a private (and fenced) garden with an outdoor seating area and a barbecue. The property was designed by the bubbly Victoria, with whom we’ve been in constant contact for several years.

The cottage is located at the end of a tree-lined driveway, right next to a small trail that leads to some beautiful walks. You'll find yourself in a pleasant estate with other cottages all around you.
The interior is bright, with a color scheme featuring cream and wood tones.
The following amenities are available: living room, sofa bed with chaise longue, pellet stove, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, Smart TV, kitchenette, dining area with a designer table, bedroom, and bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Outside, you'll find a fully fenced-in garden with comfortable patio furniture and a barbecue for those lovely summer evenings.
As a bit of background, Victoria and her partner chose the name "Lombok" because they fell completely in love with this island, located east of Bali and west of Sumbawa. It's known for its beaches and surf spots.
Location
Chalet Lombok is situated in a quiet location about a half-hour walk from Durbuy, an absolutely charming medieval town. Stroll through the old town, with its stone houses, small artisan shops, and lively outdoor cafes. Head up to the lookout point overlooking the town and the Ourthe Valley. At sunset, the view is magnificent.
Among the activities in the area, don't miss the Anticlinal, a massive rock formation and an extraordinary showcase of the local geology.
Also nearby, discover the small village of Wéris, famous for its large concentration of dolmens and menhirs. This fascinating place is steeped in ancient legends. For example, it is said that these megaliths were once used in rituals dedicated to fairies and nature spirits.
Looking for a restaurant nearby? We really like the Maison Pal'Ange hotel and restaurant, which serves hearty, local cuisine. Véronique and Kris, along with the entire staff, are very attentive and incredibly kind.
