La Cabane du Bois Dormant is an unusual hut perched in the trees near Spa, in the province of Liège, Belgium. It's a true natural refuge with every comfort. The interior design (see our on-site video) gives the impression of being in the home of an explorer who has traveled the world.

Mention Let's Go My Love when booking with Régis (the owner) and receive a welcome gift. You can choose between a bottle of wine, a bottle of prosecco and a box of Blanche chocolates. We recommend that you first check availability and then send Régis a message via Whatsapp. Specify the desired day of arrival and the desired welcome gift. And off you go!

We had the opportunity to sleep here and we really enjoyed our night, especially because of a multitude of little details: the souvenir box side, often little chocolates with the coffee (very rare!), the homemade breakfast made by Régis's mother who lives right next door, the turtle shell hanging on the wall, the squirrels on the terrace, the lighting and the little restaurant nearby that we really loved, see below.

When you arrive, you can park your car right in front of the cabin. It's located about 50 meters from Régis's mother's house (Claudine), which is also a bed and breakfast. Claudine will welcome you at the time of your choice (from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and give you a short guided tour.

Then you're alone in the world. Don't worry, when you're in the cabin, no one can see you, and you're truly alone among the trees. Take a look at the view from the balcony.

The cabin measures around 35m² and is reminiscent of an African hut hidden in the trees. Facilities include king-size bedding, private bathroom with shower and separate toilet, interior decoration with many objects brought back from the Congo and Central Africa, rocking chair by the window, small dining area, minibar, coffee machine with capsules supplied, Smart TV and private terrace.

Every morning, a delicious homemade breakfast is discreetly delivered to your front door. It's included in your reservation. You can enjoy it in the comfort of the cabin or at the table on the outdoor terrace. The jams are homemade. With a little luck, squirrels may liven up your meal.

There are a few extras:

- Minibar available in the cabin with champagne, wines and soft drinks
- Cold platters served in the evening on request (cheese, cold meats, seafood or sushi)
- Electric bike rental (€50 per bike per day)

La Cabane du Bois Dormant is located near Spa, 5 minutes from the center of Spa and 40 minutes from Liège Guillemins train station. Spa is a world-renowned destination for its superb thermal spa located on the hill and accessible by funicular.

If you're looking for a good restaurant nearby, we tried and loved Le Cinq , a 3-minute drive away. A beautifully renovated house located at the end of a bucolic path, Vanessa gave us an exceptional welcome and delicious food. A real gem, and not that expensive.
