Warredal is a magnificent estate with around 40 unusual cabins located in the middle of a forest, in lush green surroundings close to a nature reserve. You're in Limburg, Flanders, Belgium, about 45 minutes from Hasselt and Maastricht. The perfect place to return to your roots!

We had the opportunity to spend 2 nights here and it was a real pleasure. What we liked best: the size of the estate, the charm of the cabins, the Nordic bath on the terrace, the private spa among the trees, the animals everywhere (horses, goats, etc.) and the truly adorable team. We got up very early every time to enjoy the sunrise (our video on site).

On site, you can arrive between 3pm and 7pm. The reception is done in Dutch, French or English without any problem. Dogs are allowed in some cabins with an extra charge of 10€ per night.

The Warredal recreation area was founded in 2001 by the Schelfhout family. The cabins and unusual cottages are spread over a wooded area of 24 hectares. Click on this link to see the map of the park.

There is no wifi in the area. Here, the goal is really to get back to simple activities. It's the perfect place to take long walks, make a nice breakfast or drink a cappuccino by the wood stove. If the weather is nice, you also have everything you need for a barbecue!

The 37 cosy cabins are like little wooden huts, perfect for 2 people. Each cabin has all the comforts of home, including a living room, dining room, bathroom with shower, fully-equipped kitchenette and covered terrace. Bed linen is provided, so you don't need to bring your own. If you want to cook, the kitchen is well equipped. Barbecue facilities are also available on the terrace.

If you want to relax during your stay, some cabins also have a Nordic bath or sauna. Check before you book!

Warredal also offers 5 cosy houses: these can be a hobbit house like in Lord of the Rings, or a tree house. They are a little larger and more luxurious than the cabins, but also a little more expensive. Ultimate relaxation in these fairytale cottages in the middle of the forest!

During your stay, you can book a 2-hour session in the wellness cabin in the middle of the forest. The program includes a private sauna, Jacuzzi, shower, relaxation room and toilet. Tested and widely approved by us! We loved it.

There are extras to accompany your stay: breakfast basket (video on site), vegan picnic basket, crêpe box, barbecue box, fresh cake of the day, pizza box or pastabox.

There's plenty to do on site, too: a tree-climbing course, mini-golf over 10,000m², an equestrian center and numerous walking routes. Impossible to get bored!

Warredal is located in Limburg, Belgium, near the Hoge Kempen National Park and the Bergerven Nature Reserve. The border with the Netherlands is only 20 minutes away by car. The Hoge Kempen Park is particularly recommended for a long walk: 12.000 hectares, vast pine forests, large lakes and many rare species of animals. A little natural jewel!
