Sophie and Renaud are the charming owners of the spa. We've been contact for several years now to make sure the experience is top-notch. Nancy also looks after the spa.
The spa is located in one of the wings of the Ferme des Dames Blanches, on the site of the village's former bread oven. It's a building full of character and charm.
The farm's origins date back to 1468, when the Carmelites (religious women known as the Dames Blanches) were expelled from Leffe when Charles the Bold sacked Dinant, and settled in Namur. The farm was founded shortly afterwards by the Carmelites in what is now the commune of La Bruyère.
The space can be reserved for 2 hours, from 9am to 10:30pm. Prices start at €130 for 2 people. Included in the price: 2 bath towels, bathrobes, bath slippers, unlimited water fountain, TeaTower herbal tea room and Gemology welcome products.
On site, you enter through a pretty courtyard with flowers and trees, surrounded by stone walls. There's always someone at reception, available on request or to serve extras.
In the spa, we love the fragrance of the linens that take you far away! Particular attention has been paid to decoration and atmosphere. The following facilities are at your disposal: stone and corian hammam, cedar wood sauna, Jacuzzi, infrared zone, salt wall, tropical shower, relaxation area and garden surrounded by bamboo.
The Jacuzzi is located in an intimate cocoon, a little out of the way. It's made of stainless steel (for hygiene) and surrounded by exotic, luxurious Padouk wood. The basin measures 1.50m by 1.80m and offers 2 seated and 2 reclining places.
There are a few extras: trays of sweets from a local artisan baker, island-flavored tasting platters from the nearby Table 27 restaurant and a mini-bar in the relaxation room. Service is via an opening hidden behind an old Indian door, so as to respect your privacy.
When it's raining or snowing outside, take advantage of the following equipment: plaids, umbrellas if necessary, slippers, Bluetooth speakers, underfloor heating and candles to place wherever you like.
The spa is quietly located in the commune of La Bruyère, north of Namur in Wallonia, Belgium. By car, you can easily get there via Route Nationale 4, the E42 freeway or the E411 freeway. Parking is easy along rue des Chapelles and rue des Dames Blanches.
Feeling hungry? We recommend you try the Basile restaurant, just a few minutes' drive away. Cosy atmosphere in a large chalet, small map and very good products, some of which come from the farm next door.
