Our stay
We had the opportunity to stay here and it was simply brilliant, despite the rainy weather. The sound of the rain against the canvas lulled us all night long... What we also liked: the deliciously comfortable bed (in our top 3 on Let's Go My Love), the high quality of the breakfast, the very good Italian coffee chosen with care and the impression at times of being in the middle of the jungle.
The owners
Katia and Thierry welcome you with a smile in French, Dutch or English. The family belongs to one of Europe's oldest aristocratic families. We've been contact with Thierry for several years now and were delighted to have a coffee with him.
The XXL tent
On-site parking is available just behind the accommodation. A small wooden pontoon leads directly to the tent.
It's intelligently designed and offers rare comfort, thanks in particular to the thermal insulation of the canvas, the insulated floor, the wood-burning stove and the air conditioning. Everything is made-to-measure. The exterior canvas, for example, was handmade by a French craftsman who spent several weeks on site with his sewing machine.
There's a living room, a TV area, a dining area and a private bathroom. Amenities include a king-size XL bed made in Belgium, remote-activated curtains, a Jura coffee machine with Italian coffee beans from Miscela D'Oro, a designer bathroom with panoramic shower and welcome products from Clarins.
The view from the bed is magical. You can admire the vegetation, the river and the lush nature. If you're lucky, you may even spot a deer or a white heron.
Outside, there's a small garden with optional barbecue, parasol, table and benches. The highlight is the optional Nordic bath with wood-burning stove integrated into the tub. Whatever the weather, the contrast between warm water and fresh air is fantastic! Let yourself be soothed by the 6 massage jets inside the tub.
Nordic bath
It takes at least 1.5 hours to heat the hot tub. We recommend lighting the fire as soon as you arrive. Try adding logs every 20 minutes or so to help it heat up quickly.
Weather
When it's raining or snowing outside, enjoy the delightful cocooning atmosphere inside... There's a wood-burning stove to make a fire (be careful, the surface can get quite hot, there's a small first-aid kit in the tent if you need it) but also plaids if you're cold, umbrellas, a Bluetooth speaker, candles and a Smart TV with Netflix and Prime Video.
Breakfast
The optional breakfast is dropped off around 8:30 a.m. without disturbing you. It includes: orange juice, organic apple juice, 2 types of organic bread, 2 mini croissants and 2 mini chocolate breads, jam, honey, butter, cheeses, cold cuts, eggs prepared with love, yoghurt and muesli.
There are 2 categories of breakfast on Let's Go My Love: the industrial breakfast (mostly sweet) and the real sweet/savory breakfast prepared with love. The one at Room8 clearly belongs to the second category. Everything is fresh and very good.
Catering
For the evening, you can book a 3-course dinner or a barbecue basket with steaks, scampi, meat skewers, vegetable skewers, tomatoes, potatoes and bread. Just mention what you'd like when booking, and... Bon appétit!
Location
Room8 is located in the middle of nature, facing one of the large ponds in the private park of Huldenberg Castle. A waterfall is just 150 meters from the tent, where you can take a dip. Many museums are located nearby, including the Musée Hergé. If you're looking for a good gourmet restaurant nearby, we recommend Spaans Dak in Heverlee.
The Forêt de Soignes is nearby. Perfect for a stroll at check-out time! Thierry also knows 2 magnificent 9km and 11km walks starting from the tent. Don't hesitate to ask him for the itineraries.

No, but you can use the barbecue. You can also book a 3 course dinner basket or a barbecue basket. It is brought to the tent at about 6.30 pm / 7 pm. The 3-course dinner consists of a cold starter, a dish to heat up and a dessert. The barbecue basket includes 2 steaks, 4 scampis, 2 meat skewers, 2 vegetable skewers, a tomato salad with burrata, potatoes in aluminum foil, two rolls, butter, oil, salt and pepper.
