L-Avenue is a contemporary 4* hotel on the chic Avenue Louise, near the Châtelain district of Brussels. The location is ideal: not far from the Bois de la Cambre and only 20 minutes by streetcar from the Grand-Place. The 56 rooms are more like cozy suites, with sitting areas and fully equipped kitchens. We love it.
Reservation
We recommend that you book your stay at L-Avenue via Booking.com, which often offers free cancellation. Send us a message on Instagram if you go, it would make us super happy.
Why we love this hotel
- Already, there aren't many fine hotels in Brussels.
- This one's a cut above the rest
- It's one of the best-rated hotels in the capital: 9.3/10 and over 1,500 reviews
- The team is adorable and very welcoming (François in particular).
- The Louise district is our favorite in Brussels
- Streetcar stop right across the street (Vleurgat)
- The Bois de la Cambre is just a few minutes away by streetcar (our favorite park)
- Rooms feel like cozy apartments
- Lighting is top-notch and aesthetically pleasing
- Glass bottle of water for the night
- Delicious catered meals near reception
- Check-out possible until noon
We had the opportunity to spend a very pleasant night here. It's a real favorite in Brussels, especially if you want to use the hotel as a base to discover the Belgian capital.
One small point that could be improved: why make guests fill in a paper at check-in and sign another paper at breakfast? You can see the French (more administrative) spirit of the family hotel group that runs the hotel. But it's so insignificant compared with the quality of the services provided here.
The hotel and its suites
The facade of the hotel is very discreet. Step inside and admire the Brazilian stone wall in the lobby: onyx. This is the concierge desk, and there's always someone there to welcome you. Take the elevator to the 1st floor to reach reception.
There are 58 bright suites spread over several floors. Here are our favorites:

Depending on your choice, you will have access to the following amenities: king-size bed, bathroom, touchless backlit mirror, comfortable living room, numerous books available, Smart TV, and fully equipped kitchen with Nespresso machine, refrigerator, stovetop, oven, and dishwasher.
It's spacious, smells good and is well soundproofed. There's a lounge area and a fully equipped kitchen, even in the basic categories. A true luxury in Brussels!
Dining options
In the morning, enjoy a tasty breakfast for €20 for 2 people. It's served as a sweet and savory buffet, hot and cold, with gluten-free options. Relax in the dimly lit lobby or on the large outdoor terrace.
The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but there are catered dishes and drinks to choose from near reception. You can then heat them up in the comfort of your suite. An excellent idea!
The fitness room
If you're in the mood for a workout, we recommend you try the fitness room near reception. It's spacious and modern, one of the most beautiful on Let's Go My Love. Latest-generation Technogym machines from the Meteor range, including a treadmill, elliptical, rowing machine, bench and dumbbells.
A neighborhood where we used to live
L-Avenue is ideally located on Avenue Louise, right across from the Vleurgat stop. The Magritte Museum, Grand Place, and Manneken Pis are just a 25-minute tram ride away. Brussels is yours to explore! And you’ll love coming back here in the evening after a long day of walking.
The nearby Bois de la Cambre is undoubtedly Belgium's most beautiful wooded park. We love taking walks there on the weekends. Designed in the English style, it feels like a real forest. The most beautiful part of the park is the lake surrounding Chalet Robinson, a magnificent rustic restaurant (it has a bit of a Canadian feel to it) that's accessible only by boat.
We know the neighborhood well because we lived there for several years. Here are a few of our favorites:
- Tenbosch Park: a tiny, beautiful wooded park (5 minutes away)
- Fait Maison: delicious lunches (2 minutes away)
- Place du Châtelain: our favorite place to go for a drink (10 minutes away)
- La Villa in The Sky: gourmet restaurant with breathtaking views (5 minutes away)
PS: it was the receptionist at the Aubusson hotel in Paris who introduced us to the L-Avenue, extolling its virtues. We approve!
