With les Cabanes de Rensiwez, owner Olivier Berghmans set out to create cozy nests in the heart of the wilderness. Even as a child, he and his brother loved to build cabins of all kinds: big, small, underground, perched in the air. These singular universes already embodied a strong desire for nature and freedom!
There are 39 luxurious cabins on the estate, some with Nordic baths on the terrace. There are 3 main locations: 14 waterside cabins, 14 on the hill and 11 on the ridge! Here's a map to help you find your way around.
Depending on the type of accommodation you choose, you'll enjoy the following facilities: surface area from 16m² to 70m² for the largest cabin, bedroom, fully-equipped kitchen, living area with open fire, bathtub on the terrace, Nordic bath and private sauna. We love the wooden, stone or copper bathtubs. Some cabins feature a double bed in a suspended round nest, under a glass roof or in an alcove.
All accommodations are decorated and furnished with raw, natural materials, echoing the surrounding nature. Wood and stone create a warm, rustic feel. Rugs, cushions and blankets add to the cocooning feeling. The views are sometimes truly breathtaking!
There are extras:
- Delicious breakfast with regional products: coffee or tea, cold meats, orange or apple juice, breads baked on site, pastries, jam, honey and other delicacies (€30 for 2 people).

Domaine de Rensiwez is nestled in the heart of the picturesque Parc Naturel des Deux Ourthes, near Houffalize in the Belgian Ardennes. There's plenty to do in the area: hot-air ballooning, fishing, kayaking, hiking around the Nisramont lake and dam, paragliding or a wellness massage at Osiris Institut.
Finally, do you know the legend of the Valley of the Fairies? As you leave Rensiwez towards Houffalize, there's a mysterious sign about it. This is the valley of a stream called "Martin Moulin", where fairies are said to have taken up residence long ago. They were graceful and benevolent, but not often seen. It is said that they were born in the mists of the river, where the Moudehan cliff falls into the Ourthe.
