Le Made in Catherine is a lovely boutique hotel located opposite Place Catherine, 10 minutes from Brussels' Gare-Centrale. The hotel is lovingly decorated and family-run, almost in the old-fashioned way. It's a great place to stay and enjoy a spritz in the café, which doubles as the reception area.

Our stay
We were looking forward to staying here, as le Made in Catherine is the rock'n'roll little sister of Made in Louise, one of our favorite hotels in Brussels. It's the same team, the same values, the same warmth. What we liked best: the look of the hotel, the consistently top-quality bedding, the friendly staff, the unbeatable value for money in the Belgian capital and the location near the Central Station.
The owner
Martin, the owner, wanted to restore an old, authentic Belgian building in the Béguinage district, the former Marché aux Poissons. His idea was to merge a 100% digital experience with a warm welcome and a trendier feel.
The rooms
There are just 19 rooms. During our stay, we inherited the most secret room: n°45, the most intimate in the hotel and the one with the best view. A real eagle's nest away from the other rooms.
Depending on the room you choose, you'll enjoy the following amenities: queen or king size bed, private bathroom with walk-in shower, bathtub, Belgian Habeebee welcome products (they smell great!) and air conditioning.

Breakfast
In the morning, a delicious breakfast is served in the dining room. When you arrive, don't forget to give your room number to the bar and order your hot drink. We recommend the oat milk cappuccino, but there are also some very good teas.
The bar
During the day, the bar is of course your golden oasis after a long day exploring Brussels. Nice menu and a few pastries in the afternoon. Terrace in fine weather. Try the Spritz: very good! It's made by Belgians at South of France. All that's left to do is settle in and watch the world come to life on Place Saint-Catherine.
Location
The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Brussels, close to the Beguinage and Sainte-Catherine Church, 2 remarkable buildings straight out of the Middle Ages. The Central Station is a 10-minute walk away. We love the village atmosphere of Place Saint-Catherine. On one side of the church, don't miss the Tour Noire, a 13th-century vestige of Brussels' first city walls.
