We had the opportunity to spend 2 nights here and it was an absolutely memorable stay. What we liked best: the magical setting, the not-so-high price, the friendly but not snobbish staff, the exceptional wellness area with underground pool, and the overall modernity of the hotel. Far from an old castle gathering dust, it's more like a modern fairy tale!
There are 57 rooms and suites, some of which (those on the first floor) are pet-friendly. Depending on the room you choose, you'll enjoy the following amenities: king-size bed, open or closed bathroom, Italian shower, bathtub in the center of the room, parquet floor, soft carpeting, view of the garden or inner courtyard, living room with fireplace, Smart TV and air conditioning.
Note: superior rooms and executive suites allow early check-in at 1pm, while other rooms allow check-in at 3pm.
In the morning, enjoy a delicious king's breakfast buffet. On the menu: a wide selection of sweet and savoury products, fresh bread, freshly squeezed orange juice, Crémant Luxembourgeois, salmon, charcuterie, cheese and much more.
In the evening, don't forget to reserve a table at the Château's gourmet restaurant (video on site). High-flying French cuisine is served from 6pm to 9pm in a refined setting, under the watchful eye of Chef Yves Van Dorpe. Excellent choice of wines. An example of a dish? Iberian pluma, caramelized onions, maple syrup and seasonal vegetables. Delicious!
At the end of the evening, prolong the pleasure at the "U" Lounge bar, located in the Château's historic cellars. The intimate atmosphere is reminiscent of the Prohibition era of the 1930s. The subdued atmosphere (video on site) is conducive to confidences, secrets and laughter. Access is exclusively reserved for hotel guests, and the bar usually closes around 1am.
The hotel's greatest asset is, of course, its beautiful NUXE® Spa. Outside, there's a large heated pool and a pool bar open in the late afternoon. And once inside, you'll be able to let your hair down with a swimming pool set in a romantic grotto (video on site), Jacuzzi, 2 hammams, 2 saunas and 5 treatment cabins.
Le Château d'Urspelt is located in the heart of the Our nature park, near Clervaux in Luxembourg. You're just 25 minutes from Bastogne in Belgium, 1h30 from Metz in France and 2h from Bonn in Germany. Want to get some exercise and discover the region at the same time? The team offers 3 routes of 4.5 km, 10 km and 12 km respectively. Scooters are also available for hire.
