The Daft Hotel is a unique hotel tucked away in the heart of the forest in Malmedy, Belgium. The rooms
The Daft 14 tastefully decorated rooms. The double rooms are perfect if you are traveling as a couple.
Depending on the room you choose, you will enjoy the following amenities: comfortable bedding, organic cotton sheets, private bathroom with shower, toilet, hairdryer, towels, Rituals toiletries, and a projector with Chromecast. Breakfast and access to the wellness area are included.
The teepees
At the edge of the forest are 12 teepees. From May to October, enjoy a true glamping experience. Here are the three categories:

Depending on the tipi you choose, you will enjoy the following amenities: private 20 m² tipi, comfortable mattresses and soft sheets, towels, blanket for cool nights, rain protection, electricity, string lights, private terrace, shared showers and toilets inside the hotel.
The sloping terrain and vegetation ensure true privacy during your stay.
Want as much privacy as possible? Feel free to specify that you’d prefer a secluded teepee when you make your reservation. Take a look at this photo, and you’ll see that some teepees are more secluded than others. We can’t guarantee it, but it doesn’t cost anything to ask. Our favorite teepees? The three on the right side of the photo.
The "Classic Tipi" category does not include access to the pool. The "Tipi & Swim" category includes access to the pool. And the "Zen Tipi & Swim" category includes access to the pool and features a Dutch tub (a private hot tub with a view of the forest) near the tipi. Breakfast is always included.
The bathtub is filled before you arrive. From Once you’re all settled in, you can start heating the water by building a fire in the designated area. It takes about 2 hours for the water to reach the ideal temperature. We’ve tried it, and it’s extremely pleasant, especially at sunset.
The private spa
During your stay, don't miss the wellness area with heated indoor pool, underwater music, sauna, and lounge area. Opening hours are from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Would you like a little privacy? Reserve the spa for two hours for €120, even if you are not staying overnight. The reservation includes a bottle of cava, a tray of fresh fruit, a cold drink, towels, and scented oil for the sauna.
There are three possible time slots per day: 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., 7:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
A wide selection for the food service industry
You are spoiled for choice when it comes to eating or having a drink:
In the morning, between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m., enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet included in the price of your reservation. On the menu: bread, pastries, eggs, cheese, cold cuts, smoked salmon, yogurt, granola, jams, honey, chocolate, butter, fresh fruit, etc.
From time to time, Daft pop-up restaurant welcomes Daft for limited-time concepts created by chef Jean-François. On the menu: 2 appetizers, 4 seasonal dishes, and 1 optional dessert.
From May through October, the team invites you to roll up your sleeves and take advantage of the outdoor kitchen to make your own homemade pizzas, burgers, or wings using a special kit. We tried the vegetarian pizza—and it’s a hit!
When the weather is nice, you can opt for a hiking picnic. This includes: homemade soup, rustic baguette, ham, cheese, butter, fruit of the day, and pastries, all in a Daft tote bag. Remember to book in advance.
If you want to enjoy a romantic drink or savor a full meal prepared by the chef, take advantage of the self-service bar all year round.
Life in the hotel
Le Daft Hotel is a hybrid place where you just feel good. The team really cares.
Music is in the DNA of this place, where it all began. The hotel even houses a huge recording studio. From writing to rehearsals, songwriting camps and demo sessions, to recording, mixing, and even pre-production sessions for tours: anything is possible.

What we also love: the friendly staff, the many musical and culinary events, the cozy lounge with its large bay windows opening onto the surrounding nature, the movie theater with its XXL screen, and the large garden with deck chairs and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and putting the world to rights on long summer evenings...
In the heart of the Ardennes forest
The hotel is located 5 minutes from the center of Malmedy, 15 minutes from Butgenbach, and 30 minutes from Spa. There are many trails to explore on foot or by bike.
If you’re looking for a nice hike, we recommend setting “Signal de Botrange” as your destination on your GPS. It’s the highest point in Belgium. From the parking lot, there are several trails that take between 1.5 and 3 hours, depending on the loop you choose. These moors, dotted with ancient marshes and wooden boardwalks, offer a remarkable variety of landscapes! We come here for a walk at least twice a year.
After your walk, we recommend stopping for a bite to eat or a drink at Peek Beer, just a 2-minute drive away. This quintessentially Belgian brewery offers a wide selection of beers and quality dishes in a super cozy atmosphere. It features a large picture window with a panoramic view of the Fagnes. There’s an outdoor terrace. It can get pretty noisy, but that’s part of the place’s charm. Be sure to make a reservation in advance.
