Our stay
We had the opportunity to stay here during one of our many stays in Paris, and it was a real pleasure. What we liked best: the absolutely unique location in the heart of the French capital, the beauty of the communal areas, the many little touches in the room (little candy in the evening, fresh rose, bottle of white wine offered), the jazz concerts, the adorable staff and the exceptional pool in the spa. For us, it's the most beautiful pool in Paris.
The origins of the building date back to the 17th century, but the hotel has preserved its old-world cachet: Versailles parquet flooring, exposed beams, monumental Burgundy stone fireplace and Aubusson tapestry.

The huge 400m² spa
The spa is a real gem: 400m² dedicated to well-being, with heated indoor pool (20 meters long), hammam, sauna, Scandinavian shower, ice fountain, tisanerie, alcoves along the pool and a small library. We did a few laps in the pool, a rare pleasure in Paris. Here's an on-the-spot video. Our advice: go early in the morning for greater peace and quiet.
The Parisian jazz bar-café
In the evening, we highly recommend a drink at Café Laurent or in the lounges near the bar. On certain evenings, the café takes on the air of a piano bar as jazz takes over. The subdued ambience by the fireplace is an invitation to daydream and deep conversation. We loved it. You may be lucky enough to bump into Paul Auster or Harlan Coben, who sometimes stay here.
Location
The Hôtel d'Aubusson is located on Rue Dauphine, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, between the art galleries, antiquarian bookstores and emblematic cafés of the 6th arrondissement. From the hotel, it's just a short stroll to the Seine and Pont Neuf. A little further north, the Louvre Museum and the Tuileries Gardens are just a 10-minute walk away.
If you’re looking for a restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, we recommend checking out Gloria Osteria, which is right nearby, not far from the Tuileries Garden. Top-notch Italian cuisine, charming service, and a subdued interior that transports you to another world. Ask for a quiet, romantic table when you make your reservation. We tried it during the day. The reviews are pretty unanimous: 4.9/5 and over 1,400 reviews.
PS: the receptionist advised us to visit the L-Avenue in Brussels, extolling its virtues. We couldn't agree more!
