La Fantaisie is a unique Hotel 5* in Paris, opening in June 2023 in the heart of the 9th arrondissement, not far from the Opéra Garnier. It has been awarded 1 Clef by the Michelin Guide. Welcome to a whimsical, dreamlike, floral and very Seventies address. It's like being in Alice in Wonderland! A Californian soul also hovers in the corridors.

Our experience
We had the opportunity to visit the hotel on a very sunny day in Paris, and it was a very pleasant moment. We enjoyed a delicious cocktail on the rooftop: Le Velours de Figue. In your glass: fig leaf and ginger liqueur, bourbon and white peach.
A little history
The hotel is located on Rue Cadet. Historically, this street takes its name from the brothers Jacques and Jean Cadet, master gardeners in the 16th century, who supplied the royal court (Charles IX) with fruit and vegetables. In those days, market gardening was everywhere here: melons, beans, lettuces, strawberries and more. The hotel's lush greenery is a nod to this verdant heritage.
The interior design is by Martin Brudnizki, a Swedish interior designer responsible for some of the world's most sought-after interiors. His color palette of soft greens, warm yellows and touches of coral evokes a soothing, vegetal world.
The rooms
There are 63 rooms and 10 suites with warm, pastoral personalities. The colors are soft and sunny. There's detail everywhere, and plenty of artist's work. We love the cane-upholstered backrests and the glass sconces that resemble petals and leaves. Our favorite room is 609, with its lovely outdoor terrace suite.
Some of our favorite rooms:

Depending on the room you choose, you'll enjoy the following amenities: balcony or terrace, stunning city or garden view, king-size bedding, combed cotton sateen sheets, marble bathroom with designer shower and/or bathtub, vegan Holidermie welcome products, air conditioning, floral wallpaper, Bluetooth speaker, contactless phone charger and minibar.
Life in the hotel
For your meals, there are 2 places in the hotel: the Café, which welcomes you all day long, and the Golden Poppy by ultra-creative chef Dominique Crenn, which takes you on a Californian journey. At the Golden Poppy, it's an explosion of flavors on your plate! Try, for example, the fried Mexican corn cake, filled with caramelized pineapple, coconut custard and drizzled with mint sauce.
In the evening, head to the Bar Sur Le Toit, an intimate and sophisticated bar at the top of the hotel. Inside, it's more of a 20s New York vibe, while outside you're transported to a charming garden amidst fruit trees. Admire the Sacré-Coeur basilica in the background! On the menu: colorful Californian-inspired cocktails and original snacks.
Basement spa
If you want to relax and rejuvenate, head for the spa, located in the basement. Indulge in a hot bath, plunge into the large Jacuzzi and take a dip in the mineral water pool. There's also a sauna and hammam. A real wellness break!
Location
The hotel is located in Paris' lively Rue Cadet, in the trendy Faubourg Montmartre district. The location is ideal: the Opéra Garnier is just a 20-minute walk away, and the Sacré-Coeur Basilica is also a 20-minute walk away.
There's a great idea for a walk nearby. It starts at 10 rue Saint-Marc and takes you successively through 3 very pretty covered passages: Le Passage des Panoramas which ends on Boulevard Montmartre, Le Passage Jouffroy (and its famous boutique"La Maison du Roy") which ends on Rue de la Grande Batelière and finally Le Passage Verdeau which ends on Rue du Faubourg Montmartre.
Prices start at around €500 per night for 2 people. Try to book as soon as possible!
