Rosalie is a picturesque 4* hotel hidden away in the heart of Paris's 13th arrondissement, set back from a beautiful avenue shaded by plane trees. From the moment you enter, nature is everywhere, with a secret garden and a large terrace planted with greenery. Incredibly, some rooms offer a view of all Parisian monuments at the same time, including the Eiffel Tower.

Our advice when booking
1. If you want a room with a view of all the Paris monuments, book a room on the 7th or 8th floor. This is the Superior View category. The view from your window is breathtaking: the Eiffel Tower, Tour Montparnasse, La Défense, Notre-Dame, the Pantheon and Sacré-Coeur.
2. The rooms on the first floor at the rear are located right next to the green terrace and offer a pleasantly immersive ambience.
3. Live cancellation policy is quite flexible: you can cancel your stay up to 6pm the day before your arrival.
Our stay
We've stayed here and have so much to tell you. Be sure to read all our text below as we share lots of tips to make your stay as memorable as possible.
Life in the hotel
The hotel has a unique location in Paris: it's close to the Place d'Italie, in a quiet street set well back. So you hear absolutely nothing. The environment is particularly natural and pleasant. Entrance is under the eye of the Roman muses (statues) on the rooftop.
Rosalie is a lively place that revolves around its communal areas: the Reception, the Living Room on -1 floor with its private garden, and the Secret Garden with its rooftop on the 3rd floor. And who often wanders around? The adorable, sociable ginger cat Rosalie, who's always clamoring for a cuddle.
If you take the time to talk to the team, you'll understand that Rosalie is a company with a mission and a strong commitment to the environment. Its mission is to rehabilitate nature in the city, reduce its impact and favor recyclable materials.
The hotel incorporates a number of recycled elements, including carpeting made from recycled fishing nets, bathroom furniture, an under-desk waste garbage can and a zero-waste courtesy tray with coffee, tea from Maison Kodama, homemade madeleines and a welcome note.
The rooms
There are 60 cosy rooms spread over 8 floors. Charming floral, plant and vintage-style interiors. Beds are made in France with cotton sateen sheets.

Breakfast
Every morning, a tasty breakfast is served in the Pièce à Vivre. As you descend the stairs from reception, observe the shape of the mirrors in front of you. A subtle detail that we love.
On the breakfast menu: viennoiseries, Parisian breads and jams, toast, organic eggs, homemade granola, organic cheeses, authentic Paris ham, soft cakes and savory cakes. All accompanied by a creamy vegetal chai latte from Main Noire, tea from Maison Kodama or freshly-ground coffee from Brûlerie des Gobelins.
When the weather's fine, Rosalie opens its bar in the Living Room and Private Garden from Tuesday to Saturday, 5pm to 11pm. Refresh yourself in the shade of the trees with the herbaceous, flowery and surprising recipes on the signature cocktail menu, featuring aromatic plants and flowers from the garden.
What we also like
- Our secret spot to see Paris like never before: on the 8th floor, on your right as you exit the elevator.
- The friendly, unpretentious team
- Unbeatable value for money, as the 13th arrondissement is less touristy
- The musical playlist, which we found to be very well thought-out (quite rare)
- The Roman muses, guardians of the secret garden
- An aesthetically pleasing website
- Pets allowed
- Yoga classes
Rosalie's van
To finish this presentation, we highly recommend this experience: rent an unusual van from Le Rosalie, set off on an adventure and sleep under the stars. Why not take a trip to the countryside? Our tip: book your stay at Le Rosalie as usual and add 1 night's accommodation in the van before or after your stay at Le Rosalie. The van is specially equipped with a comfortable bed, kitchen, shower, heating and dry toilets.
Location
Rosalie is located in the heart of Paris' 13th arrondissement, 2 minutes from Place d'Italie. There is a direct metro (12 stops only) from Gare du Nord. From Orly Airport, the journey by car is just 15 min.
Looking for an evening meal? We tested a little restaurant just a 5-minute walk away: Lancetta. We chose it because of the very positive online reviews. Restoration in the purest Italian tradition. Simple interior, virtually no tourists. Try the "Scaloppina alla crema di tartufo" and you're in heaven. And ask for the Venetian red wine to go with it...
