If you're visiting Paris for the first time, here's a selection of hotels right in the heart of the city that we know well

If it’s your first time visiting, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Marais, Montmartre, and the neighborhoods near the Seine are safe bets. You’ll get to do a lot of walking and immediately discover the Paris you imagined before arriving. At Let’s Go My Love, we also prioritize neighborhoods that are pleasant to return to in the evening after a long day.
Focus on the central arrondissements, particularly the 1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th. You’ll be close to the Seine, the Louvre, the Notre-Dame , and numerous cafés and restaurants. Paris is a wonderful city to explore on foot: for a first trip, location may matter more than a few extra square meters.
The 7th, 8th, 15th, and 16th arrondissements are home to several hotels with views of the Eiffel Tower. Be aware, however, that not all rooms in a given hotel necessarily offer a view. Be sure to check the exact room category before booking, and if the trip is a surprise, be sure to let the hotel know.
We’d much rather choose a small, charming place with real character than a large, impersonal hotel. A beautiful attic room, a balcony, or a private bathtub or jacuzzi can make a stay much more memorable. At Let’s Go My Love, we regularly visit Parisian hotels to spot those little details that make all the difference.
Montmartre is an excellent choice if you're looking for the romantic, slightly bohemian side of Paris: narrow streets, stairways, cafés, and views of the rooftops. The neighborhood is especially pleasant early in the morning and in the evening, when the streets quiet down. Just choose a hotel near a metro station.
Don't just look at the stars. Look for a room with character, beautiful light, a rare view, a bathtub, or perhaps a jacuzzi. Location is also very important: being able to step out of the hotel and spontaneously go for a walk along the Seine is part of the experience of a first trip to Paris.
