Our stay

We had the chance to stay at the hotel and have coffee with the bubbly Gabriella. She has been working at the front desk for two years now. She speaks perfect English, French, and Spanish. She has worked in Qatar and Venezuela, among other places.

We love the hotel's excellent value for money. It's a 3-star hotel (with very reasonable prices) but everything inside feels like a 4-star hotel, particularly the quality of the facilities and the size of some of the rooms, which range from 21 to 24 m².

On-site arrival

At the intersection of Rue Madame and Rue de Fleurus, the hotel reveals itself in all its Haussmannian splendor: light-colored facades bathed in light, ornate wrought-iron balconies, and the discreet elegance characteristic of the 6th arrondissement. It was once a Catholic school.

The hotel was completely renovated in 2025 and is now a brand new place that welcomes you. Inside, the modern and cozy reception area sets the tone for a stay that is chic, calm, and deeply Parisian. The reception desk is very chic.

Just a heads up so you know what to expect: true to the period architecture, the elevator is particularly small, with room for no more than two people. But that only adds to the charm of the place.

Depending on the room you choose, you will have access to the following amenities: king-size or queen-size bed, private bathroom with shower and/or bathtub, toiletries from The Botanist & The Chemist, hairdryer, large window and/or balcony, sitting area, Smart TV, air conditioning, tea and coffee.

We particularly love the "Deluxe Balcony" room for its balcony with breathtaking views of the Luxembourg Gardens and the Pantheon. Utterly romantic. Want it? Ask for room 403, which is the one we tried.

If you are celebrating a special occasion, we also recommend the "Prestige Top Floor" on the top floor, which offers a very large bathroom with shower and bathtub.

In general, when you make a reservation, always specify that you want a room as high up as possible and as far away from the elevator as possible.

The soundproofing is fine, but if your immediate neighbors are a little noisy, don't hesitate to report it to the front desk. It is open 24 hours a day, including at night.

The breakfast buffet

Every morning, from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m., a gourmet buffet awaits you on the ground floor, in a spacious room bathed in light. For those who prefer a gentle wake-up call, breakfast can also be served in your room. The price is €34 for two people.

On the menu: a wide variety of breads and pastries, a few hot dishes (chicken sausages, bacon, scrambled, boiled or fried eggs), cereals, dried fruit, jams, honey, unsalted or lightly salted butter, spreads, yogurts, fruit, cheese, cold cuts, hot drinks, and orange, apple, or grapefruit juice.

Do you need a private shuttle during your stay? The hotel offers its own high-end service, with its own drivers and vehicles. Here is a photo of one of the vehicles. They can take care of your transfers to and from all train stations and airports. They can also be used for sightseeing trips.

Next to the Luxembourg Gardens

The Hôtel Saint-Louis Luxembourg enjoys a rare location just 50 meters from the Jardin du Luxembourg. For us, it is the most beautiful park in Paris (along with the Square des Batignoles) with its shaded paths, statues, and pond where small sailboats float in the summer. Tip: go early in the morning to avoid the crowds and sit near the 17th-century Medici fountain. Could this be the most romantic spot in Paris?

If you're looking for a restaurant for the evening, we have two great places to recommend: Chez Georgette and, above all, Delta. Chez Georgette is just a minute's walk away, which is a big advantage. Everything is delicious. Try the chanterelle millefeuille, cardamom béchamel sauce, and parsley crumble.

But our favorite is Delta, about a 10-minute walk away in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. You pass Saint-Sulpice Church on the way there. The restaurant is quite small. The service is very attentive and the music playlist is very tasteful. The real treasure is on your plate! We highly recommend the Morteau sausage. And the best dessert at Let's Go My Love: the Vanilla Pecan. No joke...

To explore the capital from the hotel, we recommend this walking tour: cross the Jardin du Luxembourg, then head to the Panthéon (15 min walk) before walking to the Île de la Cité to visit Notre-Dame Cathedral. Finish with a stroll along the quays to the Pont des Arts, which will take you straight to the Louvre Museum.
