Château Voltaire is a very personal Hotel 5* located in the Saint-Honoré district of Paris, between the Tuileries Gardens, the Opéra Garnier and the Louvre Museum. It comprises 3 buildings dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It's a true declaration of love for Paris. The hotel has been awarded 1 Clef by the Michelin Guide.
We advise you to book your stay at Château Voltaire via Booking.com, which often offers free cancellation. Send us a postcard if you go, we'd love it.
We visited the hotel and loved everything about it: there's a very authentic atmosphere, different from that of other traditional Parisian 5* hotels. It's as if the hotel had always been here.
The hotel was imagined and launched in 2021 by Thierry Gillier, founder of the famous French brand Zadig & Voltaire. An art collector and traveler, the entrepreneur offers a contemporary interpretation of an entire section of Parisian urban history. The result is poetic, fantastic, very pure, very well-crafted.
The staff is friendly and very professional. They welcome you in 6 languages: French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Russian.
The hotel offers 32 rooms, all unique and spread over 5 floors. Depending on the room you choose, you will have the following amenities: king size bed, private bathroom, art deco decoration, custom-made headboard, handcrafted trimmings, solid oak sconces, manor-style woodwork and cubist paintings. On the top floor, discover a sublime private apartment of 40m² with a dining room, winter garden and green terrace.
In the morning, breakfast is all about viennoiseries and baguette, those immutable Parisian sweets. Also on the menu: fresh fruit juice, honey, homemade jam, brioche, avocado-pomegranate toast, chia pudding, muesli, fresh fruit, eggs Benedict and... caviar! Breakfast can be served in the dining room or in the comfort of your room.
In the evenings, you can grab a bite to eat at Brasserie Émil, a veritable nod to Parisian gastronomic nightlife. The chic tavern ambience is particularly successful: solid oak banquettes, tablecloth-covered tables, frescoed walls and copper-colored pans. On the menu: langoustines à la fleur de sel, fillet of beef with Béarnaise sauce, vitello tonato, sea bass carpaccios, fresh pasta or a nuanced risotto.
Later in the evening, make a detour to the hotel's cocktail bar, La Coquille d'or, the new hot spot in the Saint-Honoré district. As discreet as it is festive, the place offers a 1st-rate map mixology for Parisians and discerning tourists. A small lantern indicates the entrance from the outside.
And if you're looking to relax, don't miss the hotel's spa, a true haven of well-being. A château would be nothing without its secret rooms and hidden staircases. The staircase at Château Voltaire takes you to the intimacy of an aquatic area of communicative softness. Privatized, this white stone setting promises delicate moments of relaxation. There's also a sauna.
