Château Voltaire is a very personal Hotel 5* located in Paris, in the Saint-Honoré district, between the Tuileries garden, the Garnier Opera and the Louvre Museum. It includes 3 buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries. It's a real declaration of love to Paris. Watch this video on TikTok to discover the hotel's brasserie.
By the way, I advise you to book your stay at Château Voltaire in advance. You can also find alternative accommodation on Booking.com and even discover the best romantic hotels recommended for their atmosphere.
We visited the hotel in December 2022 and we loved everything about it: there is a very authentic atmosphere that is different from other traditional 5* Parisian hotels. It's as if the hotel had always been there.
The hotel was imagined and launched in 2021 by Thierry Gillier, the founder of the famous French brand Zadig & Voltaire. Art collector and traveler, the entrepreneur proposes here a contemporary interpretation of a whole part of the history of Parisian urbanism. The result is poetic, fantastic, very pure, very worked.
The staff is friendly and very professional. They welcome you in 6 languages: French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Russian.
The hotel offers 32 rooms, all unique and spread over 5 floors. Depending on the room you choose, you will have the following amenities: king size bed, private bathroom, art deco decoration, custom-made headboard, handcrafted trimmings, solid oak sconces, manor-style woodwork and cubist paintings. On the top floor, discover a sublime private apartment of 40m² with a dining room, winter garden and green terrace.
In the morning, breakfast is all about viennoiseries and baguette, those immutable Parisian sweets. Also on the menu: fresh fruit juice, honey, homemade jam, brioche, avocado-pomegranate toast, chia pudding, muesli, fresh fruit, eggs Benedict and... caviar! Breakfast can be served in the dining room or in the comfort of your room.
In the evening, you can have a bite to eat at the brasserie Émil, a real nod to the Parisian gastronomic night. The atmosphere of a chic tavern is particularly successful: solid oak benches, tablecloths, tiled walls and copper pans. On the menu: langoustines with fleur de sel, beef filet béarnaise, vitello tonato, sea bass carpaccios, fresh pasta or risotto full of nuances.
Later in the evening, make a detour to the hotel's cocktail bar, La Coquille d'or, the new favorite meeting place in the Saint-Honoré district. As discreet as it is festive, the place offers a first-class mixology menu for Parisians and demanding tourists. A small lantern indicates the entrance from the outside.
If you want to relax, don't miss the hotel's spa, a real wellness interlude. A castle would be nothing without its secret rooms and hidden stairways. The one at Château Voltaire leads you to the intimacy of an aquatic space of communicative softness. Privatized, this white stone setting promises you delicate moments of relaxation. There is also a sauna.
