Our experience
We visited the hotel and loved everything about it: there's a very authentic atmosphere, different from that of other traditional Parisian 5* hotels. It's as if the hotel had always been here.
The hotel was imagined and launched in 2021 by Thierry Gillier, founder of the famous French brand Zadig & Voltaire. An art collector and traveler, the entrepreneur offers a contemporary interpretation of an entire section of Parisian urban history. The result is poetic, fantastic, very pure, very well-crafted.
The rooms
The hotel offers 32 rooms, all unique and spread over 5 floors. Here are a few of our favorite rooms:
1 • Superior Room • Photo • 🕯️
2 • Deluxe Room • Photo • 🛋️
3 • Voltaire Deluxe Room • Photo • ☁️
4 • Prestige Room • Photo • 🪯
5 • Voltaire Prestige Room • Photo • 🛀
6 • Junior Suite • Photo • ✨
7 • Voltaire Suite • Photo • 🌳
Depending on the room you choose, you'll enjoy the following amenities: king-size bedding, private bathroom, art deco decor, bespoke headboard, hand-crafted trimmings, solid oak wall lamps, manor-style woodwork and cubist canvases. On the top floor, discover a sublime 40m² private apartment with dining room, winter garden and planted terrace.
Breakfast
In the morning, breakfast is all about viennoiseries and baguette, those immutable Parisian sweets. Also on the menu: fresh fruit juice, honey, homemade jam, brioche, avocado-pomegranate toast, chia pudding, muesli, fresh fruit, eggs Benedict and... caviar! Breakfast can be served in the dining room or in the comfort of your room.
The chic brasserie
In the evenings, you can grab a bite to eat at Brasserie Émil, a veritable nod to Parisian gastronomic nightlife. The chic tavern ambience is particularly successful: solid oak banquettes, tablecloth-covered tables, frescoed walls and copper-colored pans. On the menu: langoustines à la fleur de sel, fillet of beef with Béarnaise sauce, vitello tonato, sea bass carpaccios, fresh pasta or a nuanced risotto.
The most romantic bar in Paris
Looking for a late-night drink? We've got a great idea: the hotel's tiny cocktail bar, La Coquille d'or. The place is hidden behind a secret door... The atmosphere is deeply enchanting and romantic. For us, this is without doubt the most romantic bar in Paris. It's in our top 3 of all Let's Go My Love bars, along with the Nolinski library-bar in Venice.
The private spa
During the day, don't miss the hotel's spa, a true haven of well-being. A château would be nothing without its secret rooms and hidden staircases. The staircase at Château Voltaire takes you to the intimacy of an aquatic area of communicative softness. Privatized, this white stone setting promises delicate moments of relaxation. There's also a sauna.
Just a short walk from Place Vendôme
You're in Paris' prestigious Saint-Honoré district, between the Tuileries Gardens, the Opéra Garnier and the Louvre Museum. Place Vendôme is a 5-minute walk away. It couldn't be more central!
Don't miss a visit to the Jardin du Palais-Royal, probably the most romantic park in Paris, just a 9-minute walk away. It was featured in a memorable scene in the film Mission Impossible: Fallout, starring Tom Cruise.
Finally, are you looking for a great perfume shop nearby? We highly recommend checking out the Divine brand on Rue de Rivoli. Ever since we discovered these perfumes in Brittany, we’ve been recommending them to everyone we know. You absolutely must try “L’homme sage” for men and “L’esprit libre” for women. Deeply poetic, nostalgic, and inspired.
