Our experience
We were lucky enough to visit the hotel twice: once to spend a memorable evening in the bar, lulled to sleep by the pianist. And a second time to try out the restaurant. We were able to visit the main lobby and chat with some of the team.
We love the dog-friendly welcome and the sincere kindness of the entire team throughout your stay. Special mention to Gabriel at the concierge desk and Francesco, the young bartender.
The rooms
There are 43 rooms in the hotel, including 13 suites. They are spread over 5 floors and are all unique. They range in size from 20m² to 82m² for the largest suite. Don't miss the most luxurious suites, each with its own name: Bianca, Pietro, Caterina, Enrico, Giacomo and Tiziano.
Some of our favorite rooms:

5 • Bianca Suite • Photo • 🦢
6 • Catherina Suite • Photo • 🌿

Depending on the room you choose, you will enjoy the following amenities: king-size bed, private bathroom with bathtub, freestanding bathtub and/or walk-in shower, Dyson hairdryer, living room, terrace, air conditioning, and more.
Exceptional decoration
The interior design is meticulous, down to the smallest detail: gray marbro stucco for the headboards, red and soft pink velvet, blown glass lanterns inspired by those in the Doge's Palace, beautiful books selected by independent bookseller Anatole Desachy, gilded metal sliding doors, noble materials, thick carpets and heavy curtains. Venice is soft, comfortable and enveloping.
Remember the chimera-adorned façade? The hotel houses a collection of over 500 marine objects in Murano glass, carefully selected by architect Maria Pia. Each room has between 10 and 15 different pieces.
The 2 restaurants
Il Caffè and the Palais Royal Restaurant welcome you in the sumptuous setting of an amphitheater. Both establishments are run by chef Philip Chronopoulos. His haute cuisine draws on French culinary techniques and inspiration from Italy and his native Greece. The result is stunning.
On the menu: yellowtail crudo with olive oil and lemon, saffron risotto or steamed Saint-Pierre with garlic and lemon potatoes. For dessert, try our homemade tiramisu and enjoy an Aperol Spritz as an aperitif. Our best spritz in Venice, despite the rather high price: around €25.
The romantic bar
At the end of the evening, make a detour to the cocktail bar, a long, intimate setting with a sublime bar at the end. Look up to the ceiling to admire the fresco by Simon Buret... Your imagination takes flight! The subdued lighting, candles and lyrical piano notes make the atmosphere almost unreal.
To the side, a library of over 4,000 books, nearly half of which, as Venice is obliged to do, are on the subject of art. This library alone is worth a visit, with its wealth of rare, unusual and previously unpublished works. Open map to discover unique cocktails (we recommend you try the From Paris to Venice or ask the barman for advice), as well as some excellent wines and snacks if you're feeling a little hungry.
The swimming pool
Another thing we loved was the swimming pool on the top floor with deliciously warm water and a 360° view of the city. Right next door is the Ottoman-inspired Treatment Suite. Here, you can relax deeply with a selection of treatments and massages.
