The history of Lido Island
Between the late 19th century and the early 20th century, the island of Lido experienced a period of incredible growth, thanks to the popularity of seaside bathing. From In 1913, the Ausonia Hungaria became an icon of the island, thanks to the work of ceramic artist Luigi Fabri, who designed the hotel’s facade using majolica tiles in a typically Italian Art Nouveau style.
