The history of Lido Island
Between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th, the island of Lido underwent a phase of incredible development, thanks to the fashion for sea bathing. As early as 1913, Ausonia Hungaria became an emblem of the island, thanks to the work of ceramist Luigi Fabri, who designed the hotel's façade with majolica tiles in a typically Italian Liberty style.
