Our experience

The arrival
On arrival, the welcome is simple and very pleasant. While your luggage is being taken to your room, you are offered a welcome drink. Every member of the team greets you warmly. It's all perfectly timed.
The rooms
There are only 22 rooms, and each one is named after an old profession. Depending on the room you choose, you'll enjoy these amenities: a comfy double bed, a private bathroom with a shower, an Italian-style shower, a freestanding tub or a jacuzzi, bathrobes and slippers, air conditioning, soundproof windows, a coffee machine, minibar, Smart TV, Wi-Fi, and a safe.
Some of our favorite rooms:
1 • Room of the Poet • Photo • ☁️
2 • Room of the Town Crier • Photo • 🛁
3 • Room of the Scribe • Photo • ☀️
4 • Room of the Chestnut Seller • Photo • 🪟
5 • Room of the Weaver • Photo • ✨
Here's a tip when you book: ask for a quiet, romantic room with a water view. Also, be sure to mention if you're celebrating a special occasion (if it's true, of course!). This might help you get a better room within the same category. Book as early as you can, as the hotel is very popular, especially on Fridays and Saturdays.
Life in the hotel
The lounge at the Hotel Moresco is a real cocoon hors du temps , ideal for a romantic getaway at the end of the day. We love its cozy atmosphere, with its elegant woodwork, soft lighting, and deep sofas. The place evokes an old Venetian literary club, with its books, period objects, and refined details. Sit down by the fireplace with a glass of wine or a house cocktail, and let the magic happen.
When the weather is nice, the outdoor terrace is a true hidden oasis. Lined with lush plants and lulled by birdsong, it invites you to slow down. In the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast (from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.) under the gentle rays of the sun. In the evening, the lanterns gently light up, the atmosphere becomes romantic, and time seems to stand still.
Catering
Breakfast menu: fresh bread from the Venetian bakery Arte del Pane, pastries, cold cuts, local cheeses, fresh salmon, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, eggs cooked to order, freshly squeezed orange juice, organic coffee from Marosticana Café, and sparkling wine.
Every evening from 6:30pm to 8pm, the hotel invites you to a Venetian aperitif in the lounge or on the terrace. It's a friendly and refined moment where you can enjoy a selection of drinks and delicious local bites. Spritz, prosecco, cicchetti... everything you need to relax! It's a ritual that makes you feel like you're at a friend's house. The buffet is free, only drinks are extra.
Location
Hotel Moresco is located in Dorsoduro, right on the waterfront. Santa Lucia train station is just a 10-minute walk away. Nearby, we highly recommend a romantic meal at Caffè dei Fiori , on the lovely Rio Terà dei Pensieri (a wide, tree-lined avenue), which translates to: the canal filled with thoughts.
Dorsoduro is our favorite neighborhood in Venice, far from the crowds of San Marco. Stroll along the Zattere, watching the sunset over Giudecca. Between art galleries, quiet little bridges, and bohemian cafes, the atmosphere is delightfully authentic.
We have a particular fondness for the Church of San Sebastiano, which seems almost abandoned. Inside, sublime works by Veronese watch over the silence. We recommend going early in the morning, when the light caresses the patinated walls of the façade. Magical!
