The very friendly owners are Alessio and Nicola Campa, two brothers who are heirs to an ancient family of master glassmakers from Murano. For the record, Alessio's grandfather made the world's largest chandelier in 1950 for the Casino of Knokke in Belgium: 2600 lights and 7500 kilos of glass and gold.

We were lucky enough to visit the hotel in January, and what can we say? For us, it's one of the most romantic hotels in Italy. The place is just fabulous, especially La Chambre Noire (my god!) and La Chambre Du Doge. But all the rooms are worth it. Thanks to Marco for the very professional tour and the many tips.

As soon as you arrive, your luggage is taken care of and replaced by a glass of delicious prosecco, even before you check in.

Inside, the atmosphere is intimate, subdued and bohemian, halfway between East and West. Every nook and cranny is like a theatre set. We love everything: the subtle lighting, the friendliness of the team, the monogrammed porcelain, the spirals and flowers on the walls, the discreet classical music in the background, the large busts, the floral arrangements and the shelves of art books.

There are only 12 rooms, including 5 conceptual rooms:

- Moors: sapphire blue, turbans with precious stones and balcony suspended over the canal
- Doge: blood-red, ruby ring and hymn to opulence
- Cheminée: cream, sweet perfume of Provence and marble fireplace dating from 1800
- Noire: resplendent black, black orchid and voluptuous mystery
- Oriental: antique gold, Chinese fans and Chinese-inspired porcelain

Depending on the room you choose, you'll enjoy the following amenities: giant king-size bed with double orthopedic mattress, hypoallergenic goose-down pillows, Italian cotton sheets, air conditioning, impressive insulation, private bathroom, quarry stone flooring, Gilchrist & Soames hospitality products and mini-bar with complimentary soft drinks.

In the morning, a delicious breakfast à la map is served. You can choose to enjoy it on the outdoor terrace, in your room or in the elegant dining room with its large bay window and 2 large Murano glass chandeliers. The breakfast menu is very extensive, with a variety of fine pastries, seasonal fruits, fresh juices and Italian-style coffees. Special mention to the perfect poached egg, truly delicious.

Outside, enjoy the terrace, inspired by Berber traditions. Weather permitting, you can enjoy breakfast here. The view of the domes of the della Salute church is absolutely fantastic!

And for a more intimate moment, make yourself comfortable on the velvet sofas in the salon on the first floor. What we love here: the subdued lighting, the decorative fireplace, the collection of portraits of the Doges, the rich interior decor and the view of the gondolas.

Ca Maria Adele is located in the quiet Dorsoduro district. The name Dorsoduro was chosen because the terrain here is less clayey than in the rest of the city. This is one of Venice's most exclusive areas, with the Zattere quay and the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute among its highlights.
