Le Novecento Boutique Hotel is a cosy, intimate 9-room hotel located just a few minutes' walk from St. Mark's Square in Venice, Italy. The interior design is a fascinating blend of refined exoticism and modern comfort. We love it!
We advise you to book your stay at Novecento Boutique Hotel via Booking.com, which often offers free cancellation. Send us a postcard if you go, we'd love it.
We visited the hotel during our stay in Venice and it was a real pleasure! We really like room n°9 (subdued lighting) and the typically Venetian room n°4.
Nightly rates start at around €155 for 2 people. As always on Let's Go My Love, customer reviews are very positive, praising the hotel's oriental atmosphere, family management, friendly staff and the owners' zero-plastic approach.
The Romanelli family has been running Novocento with great care since 2002. Gioele and his wife Heiby offer an authentic and eclectic experience to their guests. The same family opened Flora over 50 years ago, a must-see nugget in Venice. At that time, it was Gioele's grandfather and his wife who started the family adventure: Alessandro and Diana.
The staff is really nice and speaks 5 languages: Italian, English, German, Spanish and French. Don't hesitate to ask them if you have any questions.
There are 9 rooms with a real soul. All of them offer an exclusive and refined decoration, a mix of orientalism and early 20th century European style, with a fine bohemian touch. The beds are of Thai inspiration. When they are not in Venetian plaster, the walls are dressed with antique fabrics or made by contemporary Italian craftsmen.
Depending on the room you choose, you will have the following amenities: king or queen size bedding, veneziano terrazzo flooring, numerous carpets brought back from trips to Morocco, jazz or classical music subtly played, private bathroom, and eco-friendly welcome products from Ortigia.
Gioele and Heiby are fighting for a plastic-free Venice. The toiletries are offered in refillable bottles. There are no plastic bottles but rather a water carafe. You can also purchase a reusable stainless steel water bottle at the front desk. Feel free to read this article to learn more.
In the morning, a tasty breakfast is served in the dining room or in the small green courtyard outside. On the menu: seasonal fruit from the local market, cold cuts, cheese, bread and croissants from the local baker, homemade cakes, fresh pancakes and freshly squeezed orange juice. The coffee is excellent! You can choose between espresso, cappuccino, latte or hot chocolate.
Novecento is located in Calle del Dose, a slightly secluded alleyway leading from Campo San Maurizio to the Grand Canal. You are just a few minutes walk from St. Mark's Square and the Galleries of the Academy. The latter houses the most important collection of Venetian paintings in the world, including masterpieces by Bellini, Giorgione and Carpaccio.
