Our experience
We visited the hotel and have fond memories of it, not least thanks to the very friendly and professional staff. The location is really perfect, and even though there are a lot of people walking past, the insulation has been very well done, and the peace and quiet inside is amazing!
Arrival at the hotel
When you enter the spacious lobby, you are warmly greeted by the staff at the front desk who speak Italian, English, French, Spanish and Japanese, among other languages. If it's Chiara that day, you're in luck because she's really great! All the staff is very professional and can organize your transfer from/to the airport.
The hotel's common areas feature terrazzo flooring, which is very typical of Venetian buildings due to its high resistance to water. If you have to wait, take a seat on one of the comfortable sofas located near the reception desk... Don't miss the three magnificent Murano glass chandeliers and curtains by the prestigious Venetian firm Rubelli.
The rooms
There are 61 rooms and suites in the hotel. The interior decoration is refined and very stylish. There are 3 tones in each room that can be admired in the city: the gold of the mosaics of the Basilica of San Marcos, the blue of the lagoon on which the city is set (used especially behind the headboards) and the black of the gondolas. Rooms overlooking the Grand Canal are a must if you are celebrating a special occasion.

Depending on the room you choose, you'll enjoy the following amenities: king-size bed, private bathroom with shower and/or bathtub, black-and-white photographs by artist Andrea Sala in the bathroom, powerful hairdryer, Rituals welcome products, air conditioning, Nespresso machine with complimentary capsules, minibar, 49-inch flat-screen TV and private balcony.
Breakfast
In the morning, head to the restaurant on the ground floor to enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast. The space features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Grand Canal. The ladies who serve you are very friendly. Our tip: don't hesitate to ask them for freshly squeezed orange juice, as the orange juice on the buffet is not quite as good.
The rooftop with a view of the canal
At sunset, go to the hotel bar, located on the rooftop with a great view of the canal. It's the hotel's main attraction! What a pleasure to meet up with your loved ones with a good spritz after spending the day walking around Venice. There is also a small restaurant, including a very good seafood risotto.
Location
The hotel is located in the heart of Venice, only 10 minutes walk from St. Mark's Square. There is a cab boat station right in front of the hotel patio, which is very convenient if you want to discover the islands of Burano/Murano or easily get to the airport.
Beware, the restaurants near the hotel (Riva Rialto, Saraceno or Ristorante Pizzeria for example) are expensive and frankly not very recommendable. You need to choose carefully, as the area is very touristy. If you want to eat well, we recommend the excellent Ristorante San Silvestro nearby. Another place nearby: try one of Venice's best pizzas at Antico Forno, you won't regret it!
