hôtel Le Presbytère is an unusual, dazzling and truly unique 3* hotel in Paris. It is located in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, in the Marais district. Backing onto the Saint-Merry church, it is the result of the renovation of the former presbytery (the priests' living quarters) dating from the 17th century. Notre-Dame is a 10-minute walk away.

Our experience
We had the opportunity to visit almost all the rooms, and in particular the suite (no. 400) on the top floor, with no adjoining rooms, which is absolutely magical and represents the best that Paris has to offer.
Listed as a Historic Monument since 1974, Le Presbytère is one of the few Parisian hotels to offer an authentic immersion in Gothic architecture.
Exposed oak beams, hewn stone walls, medieval vaults, and period staircases: every corner tells a story spanning several centuries. The rooms, each with its own unique character, have been designed to showcase this exceptional heritage.
Rooms and Suites
The 10 rooms and one suite are harmoniously decorated in a true antique, romantic style. The soundproofing is impressive: you really can't hear a thing.
The Gothic elements of the church can be seen in every room and throughout the suite: ashlar, framework and even 2 sumptuous flying buttresses from the neighboring church of Saint-Merry in room 202: the Dome.

Depending on the room you choose, you'll enjoy the following amenities: queen-size bed, private bathroom with shower or bathtub, large window with view of the Tour Saint-Jacques, Nespresso machine, microwave oven and welcome products from The Botanist & The Chemist.
We're particularly fond of the gold suspension light (in openwork metal) in the bedroom, which allows the light to diffuse elegantly through the motifs. It's a bit like the Golden Snitch in Harry Potter.

Breakfast in your room
Early in the morning, breakfast is optional. It is served in your room at your convenience between 7:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
On the menu: bread, pastries, cake of the day, a wide selection of hot beverages, fruit juices, assorted cereals, fresh fruit, a selection of cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, fruit compotes, and eggs prepared to your liking.
In the heart of the Marais
Le Presbytère is located in the heart of Paris, in the 4th arrondissement, just opposite the Centre Pompidou. If you go for a walk, you're 10 minutes from Notre-Dame, 12 minutes from the Louvre Museum and 1 hour from the Eiffel Tower. Nearby, the verdant Place des Vosges, adorned with elegant arches, is home to the Victor Hugo Museum, in the house where the writer once lived.
The church of Saint-Merry, just behind the hotel, is a must-see. The interior is impressive, in the flamboyant Gothic style. Considered one of the 4 daughters of Notre-Dame Cathedral, it boasts one of the most prestigious organs in Paris, as well as a large collection of 17th and 19th century paintings.
If you're looking for a gourmet restaurant in the area, we have a soft spot for Hestia, a 10-minute walk away. Cuisine, welcome, interior design... it's sublime, magical. Keep this address a secret, as it's extremely rare in Paris. Without doubt the best welcome we've ever received in a restaurant.
Do you need a private shuttle during your stay? The hotel offers its own high-end service, with its own drivers and vehicles. Here is a photo of one of the vehicles. They can take care of your transfers to and from all train stations and airports. They can also be used for sightseeing trips.
