The natural environment
The estate is open from early March to late November. Prices start at around €190 per night for 2 people, and breakfast is always included. Prices drop if you stay 2 nights or more, and are cheaper on weekdays.
It's a place of beauty... We love the color of the pond water and the dreamlike atmosphere at sunset. It's very relaxing. It's not unusual to spot a deer in the distance or a fox trying to hide. Here's a map of the estate to help you find your way around.
The keys to the cabins are handed over on site from 4pm to 7:30pm. You'll receive instructions and can then walk to your cabin. If necessary, the team (always friendly and available) can drop off your luggage with a cart. You can also arrive on your own at a time of your choosing, without passing anyone else.
We're in constant contact with the team's very friendly Alexia. We met in Paris in the offices of Coucoo Cabanes (in Saint-Ouen) to enrich this text.
The cabins
There are 26 cabins in total, divided into three types: the Observatory Cabins, perched between the forest and a clearing; the Robinson Cabins, situated on the ground by the water; and the Canadian Cabins, built on stiltsby the quietponds.
Here's some useful information:
- 25 cabins feature a private Nordic bath
- 16 cabins are located on the waterfront
- 10 cabins are located deep in the forest
- 7 cabins feature a kitchen
- 2 cabins offer breathtaking views ("Attrape-Rêve" and "Douce Nuit")
- 1 cabin features a bathtub ("Au Fil de L'eau")
And our favorite cabins:

2 • Septième Ciel • Photo • Photo
3 • Beau Rivage • Photo • Photo
4 • Halte Sauvage • Photo • Photo
5 • Grand Horizon • Photo • Photo
All the cabins by the water are, of course, wonderful, but those located deep in the forest are less expensive, more secluded, and situated at a higher elevation. It depends on your budget and your personal preference.
Watch this video to see the view of the cabins by the water.
Depending on the cabin you choose, you'll enjoy the following facilities: private Nordic bath at 40°C, bedroom with French bed from Tediber, bed linen, sitting area, water, electricity, heating, small fully-equipped kitchen, observation window, bathroom with indoor or outdoor shower, tea area, coffee machine and private terrace with magnificent views of the forest or ponds.
The Au Fil de l’Eau cabin is the only one without a hot tub. However, it is also the only one equipped with a bathtub.
The cabins are arranged in such a way as to guarantee total privacy. A distance of at least 80 meters separates the cabins. We're particularly fond of the Halte Sauvage Canadian cabin, which has its own private pond and barbecue area (with marshmallow option!), but honestly, all the cabins are well worth a visit.
Life on the estate
In the morning, a breakfast basket is delivered to the foot of your cabin. It's included in your reservation. On the menu: your favorite hot drink, pastries, fresh bread, homemade apple juice, farm yogurt, jam and butter. Small trays are available for service in bed, facing nature.
The on-site team works as closely as possible with local produce. Fresh produce is sourced from local producers, artisans and farms. There's a small farm on the estate with a few pigs and goats that you can feed, but please ask permission at reception first.
Many extras can be booked in advance. Some examples: brunch basket with late check-out (60€ for 2 people), numerous dinner baskets, Michelin-starred dinner delivered directly to the cabin, barbecue basket, raclette, Savoyard fondue and romantic package (60€ for 2 people) with dried petals from Instant Fleuri, small bottle of champagne, chocolate fondue and massage oil.
A few tips:
1. Download your movies, TV shows, and music beforehand, as the connection can be spotty at times
2. If you’d like a hair dryer in your cabin, please request one at check-in
3. Bring a portable Bluetooth speaker to listen to some music
4. A few books or board games are a must for unwinding
5. If it rains, Aigle rain boots and umbrellas are available at the front desk
6. Opt for a small suitcase or backpack instead
7. Bring a few candles to create a cozy atmosphere in the evening
Near reception, there are several boats on the water's edge just waiting for you. You can borrow the one of your choice and take a romantic trip on the water. And why not improvise an aperitif on the water? Just don't forget to ask for your lifejacket at reception.
Exceptional natural beauty just an hour from the capital
Les Cabanes de la Réserve is located in the Hauts de France region, 1h15 north of Paris, France. Here you'll discover 128,000 hectares of exceptional natural and cultural heritage, with forests and gardens, castles, picturesque villages, churches and cathedrals.
Don't miss the Clairière de l'Armistice, just a 10-minute drive away: this was the site of the carriage in which the November 11, 1918 armistice between France, its allies and Germany was signed, followed by the June 22, 1940 armistice between France and the Third Reich. A highly symbolic place! A fascinating museum. Another idea for an activity: discover the magnificent Château de Pierrefonds.

We just recommend that you take slippers with you, so you can enjoy your terrace to the full, pick up your baskets and access the Nordic bath. In summer, it's also a good idea to take mosquito repellent.
Certain areas are specially equipped for fishermen.
