THE Cabanes des Grands Cépages are a fabulous eco-domain located on the shores of Lake Lionne, near Avignon, in the Vaucluse region of France. This wild environment is home to 20 luxurious floating cabins, on stilts or planted with vegetation. It is a little corner of secret and preserved paradise. No noise on the horizon, except for the song of birds and cicadas.

On site, the keys to the cabins are handed over from 4pm. A warm welcome awaits you, and after a few instructions, the team will take you to your cabin in a buggy. You'll also receive a map showing the paths and footpaths.

The cabins are spaced at least 80 meters apart to ensure your privacy. Access to your cabin is via a pontoon, a staircase or a rowboat. We love the Mediterranean-style interior design.

There are 20 cabins in all: 7 floating cabins accessible by boat or pontoon, 11 cabins on stilts high up on the lake shore (with private outdoor terrace) and 2 vegetated cabins that are completely camouflaged in the vegetation.

Depending on the cabin you choose, you'll enjoy the following facilities: 15 to 25 m² bedroom with double bed, a terrace of up to 25 m² with Nordic bath heated to 35° to 40°, bathroom with shower, reverse air conditioning and electricity.

We love all the cabins but we have a special favorite for the Utopie cabin, totally autonomous thanks to its solar panels and its water recovery system. It is located 40m from the shore.

In the morning, a breakfast basket is delivered to your cabin pontoon. This is included in your reservation. On the menu: red fruit granola, faisselle, pain au chocolat, jam, honey, butter, bread, fruit, apple juice... To be enjoyed in bed or on the terrace in the sun.

If you feel like doing a few lengths, an infinity pool (unheated) hidden between the vines and the lake is open every day from 10am to 7:30pm. Note that swimming in the lake is not allowed.

All products are carefully selected from local partners in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Baskets must be ordered at least 72 hours before your stay and are delivered to the foot of your cabin before the necessary equipment: dishes, raclette or fondue set for example.

THE Cabanes des Grands Cépages are located in the heart of Provence, near Mont Ventoux, the Luberon and the famous vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Avignon is a 20-minute drive away. During the Middle Ages, the fortress city was one of the most influential in the Western world. The Palais des Papes is today the largest Gothic palace in the world and is one of the most visited monuments in France. Don't miss its main courtyard which is transformed into a theatre stage during the Avignon Festival in the summer.
