Welcome to a unique setting
The estate is open from mid-March to mid-November. Prices start at around €160 per night for 2 people, and breakfast is always included. Here's a map of the estate to help you find your way around on arrival.
The keys to the cabins are handed over at 4pm. The whole team is remarkably friendly. After a few instructions, make your way to your cabin on foot or by buggy. Vehicles are allowed inside the estate, with several parking lots close to the cabins.
Between forests and lakes, the estate is immense, populated by large oaks, deer and foxes, and bordered by clear-water lakes. It's almost like being in Canada. You can walk hand in hand, explore the trails or canoe on the water. It's a place that reconnects deeply with nature, without sacrificing comfort and privacy.
The setting is sublime, especially at sunrise or sunset. The cabins on the water offer superb golden reflections to capture. If you like photography or Instagram stories , you're in for a treat.
Just so you know, we’re in regular contact with the lovely Alexia, who’s part of the Coucoo Cabanes team. We had the pleasure of meeting her in Paris, at the Saint-Ouen offices, to get a better sense of the place’s vibe and enrich this article with authentic insights straight from the source.
A few random tips:
- Bring slippers for maximum comfort.
- Don't forget a bathing suit
- Depending on the cabin you choose, a sleeping mask may be useful for a good night's sleep.
- Download your films, series and music before you come, as wifi is highly variable.
- Take a portable Bluetooth speaker if you want to listen to music
- If possible, don't bring a large suitcase, but rather a small one or a backpack.
Want to surprise your partner? Almost anything is possible. Feel free to let us know what you’d like: floral decorations, a cake in the cabin, a petal-strewn path, or a photographer, for example. If you’d like to keep it a secret until the cabin is revealed, please mention that when you book. Our team is used to this and will play along with a touch of mischief.
The cabins
There are 29 cabins in total: 13 treehouses high up in the forest, 10 floating cabins on the water, and 6 cabins on stilts by the water with panoramic views.
Each cabin has its own character: some float peacefully on the water, accessible by boat or footbridge, while others climb between the branches several metres above the ground, with views over the forest. There are even cabins with Nordic baths at the top, to prolong the magic at sunset. In the evening, with a lantern in hand, you can rediscover the pleasure of slowing down.
The cabins are spaced at least 80 meters apart to ensure your privacy.
We had the opportunity to walk around the entire estate and see almost all the cabins. Here are our favorites: Odyssée, Songe, Immersion and Neptune. The most beautiful is Songe (n°25 on the map) in our opinion, but all the cabins are worth a try. However, we advise you to avoid cabins n°1 to n°13, as they are not really on the lake.

A very pleasant communal eco-hut (incredibly well integrated into its environment) is at your disposal in the heart of the estate, with showers, toilets, unlimited coffee, a relaxation area and massages upstairs.
Early in the morning, a breakfast basket is delivered to your cabin. On the menu: pastries, bread from the nearby bakery, muesli, yoghurt from a nearby farm, fresh fruit juice, hot drink of your choice (coffee, tea, hot chocolate), honey from Rucher du Castor, Comtois Courtois jam and a few other surprises.
