Tucked away in the hills above the city, away from the noisy main roads and tourist areas, the hotel is a peaceful retreat. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with a smile by the staff, who are exceptionally kind and attentive to guests’ needs.

Depending on the room you choose, you’ll enjoy the following amenities: a large double bed, a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower, complimentary toiletries, towels, a hair dryer, a balcony or terrace overlooking the garden, the pool, or the ocean, a sitting area, a Smart TV, a Nespresso coffee machine, a hospitality tray with a kettle, organic teas and herbal teas, bottles of water, a safe, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi.

The heart of the hotel, the pool stretches out among the trees, lined with lounge chairs and umbrellas in vibrant colors. There, you can relax in the sun or in the shade of a pine tree, sip a cocktail, or read a book—and time seems to slow down. The added bonus is that, since it’s heated, the pool is enjoyable year-round.

Behind it lies the lush, peaceful garden. It makes us feel as though we’re in the heart of nature, even though the city is right nearby. Stroll along these paths, where a few lounge chairs await you, discreetly placed out of sight. From there, through the tree branches, you can see the sea stretching out to the horizon, followed by the city and its citadel.

A Few Dining Options

Early in the morning, breakfast is served as a buffet and is available as an optional extra (€36 for two) either indoors or by the pool. On the menu: scrambled eggs, pastries, cheeses, cold cuts, fresh fruit, crêpes, pancakes, waffles, delicious artisanal jams from Gassin, and Noaset spread made in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.

Later, in the late morning, the bar welcomes you with a wide variety of drinks—hot, cold, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, indulgent or healthy—as well as a few light meal options: Caesar salads, burrata with tomatoes, melon and ham... We recommend the fresh strawberry margarita or the Spritz Tropézien, perfect for sipping at sunset by the pool.

Between Port Grimaud and Saint-Tropez

The Hôtel Capucines is located in the hills, a 10-minute drive from Saint-Tropez. Explore its cobblestone streets, its houses painted in the colors of the South, and its chic boutiques. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, don’t miss the Place des Lices and its market, where the stalls offer a wide variety of local products and unique souvenirs.

On the other side, a 25-minute drive away, head to Port Grimaud, also known as the “Venice of Provence.” There, canals replace streets, and you can cruise along them in a small electric boat. It’s also the starting point for excursions to the island of Porquerolles, with its white-sand beaches and unspoiled landscapes.

Finally, a little further inland, just a 10-minute drive from the hotel, treat yourselves to a romantic wine tasting at one of the region’s most famous wineries: Château Minuty.
