Our experience

We were lucky enough to stay here twice, so we can tell you all about it. Our first night was in room n°56 and our second night was in room n°51, more in the romantic red tones.

We're in constant contact with the hotel team to ensure that the on-site experience is always perfect, especially with Marion and Jean-Baptiste, the Manager. If you're booking by phone, ask to speak to Lena (Front Desk Manager) who is very friendly and can advise you on the best room for your preferences.

Romantic surprise

We have a few tips for you:

1. The team is your playmate. Specify what you'd like during booking: natural rose petals on the bed, a marriage proposal, decorative balloons, a bespoke cake or a letter on the bed, for example. Once the reservation has been made, you'll receive an e-mail from the team to discuss the details of the surprise.

2. Prepare a double surprise to confuse your guests. The 1st surprise: when you arrive at the hotel and discover your room. And the 2nd surprise: you ask the hotel staff to come and discreetly decorate the room in the evening, while you go to eat at the restaurant for example.

3. Reserve a slot in the spa in advance: this can be a normal 2-hour access between 10am and 10pm (maximum 8 people at the same time), or a totally private evening access. More on this below.

4. Reserve your table at the restaurant as early as possible and ask for a table near the window. They're the best.

The arrival

On site, the welcome is personalized, friendly and highly professional. A member of the team gives you a guided tour and presents your room in great detail, which is rare in Paris.

Good to know: if you want to make the most of your room as quickly as possible, check in online in the days preceding your arrival and specify when you arrive that you prefer a light welcome. The team is used to this, so it's not a problem at all.

The rooms

Each of the 28 rooms is unique, with 7 different themes and a refined interior design. Amenities include king-size bed, private bathroom, sensory shower or whirlpool bath for 2, Japanese toilet, swing in some rooms, Smart TV (with free access to Netflix and Youtube accounts) and private outdoor terrace with Jacuzzi in Bain de Minuit category rooms.

Everything can be controlled from the tablet in the room. Everything! You'll love the convenience this brings. It's possible to create your own scenario: 6 superb lighting scenarios, 3 intoxicating fragrances, Jacuzzi on, curtains open and close, and so on. Simply choose the scenario and the whole room comes to life (video on Instagram) to create the ambience you desire.

Here are just some of the things you can control with the tablet: do-not-disturb option, light ambiance, temperature, curtains, fragrance diffuser, Jacuzzi, TV, Netflix, in-room breakfast, restaurant reservations, room service, massages and amenities. It's very complete and always works, unlike other hotels.

If you play music in the bedroom, the sound is really perfect and fills the whole room. You can activate the speaker above the bed and/or the one above the Jacuzzi in the bathroom. For a relaxing atmosphere, we like the ABC Lounge radio in the bedroom. You can, of course, connect your smartphone and use your playlist.

The private spa

The hotel's wellness area is entirely reserved for adults, and can be made private if you wish. The program includes a large heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, salt grotto, ice fountain and sensory showers. A hushed atmosphere, intimate surroundings and enchanting scents.

Some useful information about the spa :

1. Book your 2-hour slot as soon as possible (by phone) because the spa can fill up quickly
2. The large pool is one of a kind in Paris
3. The spa is open from 10 AM to 10 PM, and the hotel limits access to 8 people at a time
4. Starting at 10:45 PM, you can book a 2-hour private evening session that includes a bottle of champagne. The difference? The entire spa is now all yours! The price is €300 for 2 hours and drops even further if you book a late-night slot.

Catering

The hotel restaurant welcomes you for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a delicious signature cocktail (photo). We had the chance to sample a 5-course menu with wine and food pairings. Try the deconstructed French toast with vanilla ice cream, caramelized pecans and salted butter caramel, it's worth the detour. Room service available in your room if you prefer to stay in your own romantic bubble.

We love the restaurant's leafy terrace when the weather's fine, with its colorful fountains in the evening. On Thursdays, there's a jazz club atmosphere with a live pianist. On Fridays and Saturdays, a live singer accompanies your meal. So French!

Looking for another restaurant in the area? We tested and literally loved 3V near Gare Saint-Lazare: candles everywhere, elaborate lighting, an adorable welcome and a tasty, unique menu.

In the morning, an à la carte breakfast is served in the restaurant. On the menu: fresh bread from the Bacillus bakery, one of the best in France, organic eggs, viennoiseries, Isigny butter, cheese, delicious jams, orange or pomelo juice, coffee, tea, matcha latte or hot chocolate.

Location

You're in the village-like neighborhood of Les Batignolles. The street is very quiet, just 15 min from Sacré-Cœur and 20 min from the Louvre Museum. As you leave the hotel, turn right and walk 1 min to the crossroads. Then look to the left: a magnificent view of the Sacré-Cœur.

We have a particular fondness for this less touristy district. If the weather is fine, we recommend a stroll through the Square des Batignolles. Arguably the prettiest park in Paris... How beautiful. The area has been designed as an English-style garden, slightly undulating, with a grotto, a river, a waterfall, a miniature lake and many exotic plants.

PS: if the hotel is full, try your luck at the Secret de Paris just a 10-minute walk away. It's partly the same team, and all the rooms have Jacuzzis too. Prices are more affordable. We know both hotels very well.
