Our stay
We had the opportunity to spend a wonderful night at the B-Montmartre. What we liked best: the great peace and quiet that pervades the entire hotel, the impressive soundproofing, the very pleasant bar, the marble bathroom, the truly divine bedding and, overall, the very good general feeling.
In the XIXᵉ century, today's B-Montmartre, located at 6 rue Lécluse, housed a boarding house. Back then, many visitors ate at the Le Wepler restaurant, which is still recommended by the team. French writer Paul Verlaine lived on the street, first at n°14 and then at n°26.
The rooms
The hotel offers 36 rooms, including 5 signature rooms (these are the exclusive rooms), each with its own unique features: a private patio, balcony, or private hammam, for example. They are a bit more expensive but can truly enhance your stay in Montmartre.
Here are the signature rooms:

Depending on the room you choose, you’ll enjoy the following amenities: a queen- or king-size bed, a private marble bathroom with a shower and/or bathtub, complimentary toiletries from Anne Semonin, oak flooring, a complimentary mini-bar (first use), an Alessi kettle, and delicious Damman teas.
If you're looking for a quiet room, ask for one at the back of the hotel, near the lush garden. Mention that you're celebrating a special occasion—you might get an upgrade.
FYI: There are two rooms in the hotel with a view of the Eiffel Tower. It’s a partial view, but it’s a nice bonus.
Breakfast
Every morning, a high-quality breakfast is served in the dining room or in the comfort of your room. The latter is truly exceptional (compared with other hotels we've tested in Paris), but the small room can quickly fill up. We advise you to get there as early as possible: from 7 a.m. on weekdays and 7.30 a.m. at weekends. Pure pleasure to start the day without the crowds.
Location
The hotel is ideally located in Montmartre, 10 minutes from the Moulin Rouge and 20 minutes from Sacré-Cœur. It's on a small, very quiet street.
The nearby Abbesses neighborhood is our favorite part of Paris. It’s the kind of place you see on postcards and in movies. There’s a lightness in the air, an almost palpable carefree atmosphere, as if time were gently slipping by. The cobblestone streets wind between pastel-colored facades, revealing at every turn a shaded terrace, a bakery with intoxicating aromas, or a hidden art gallery.
If you're looking for a quintessentially Parisian restaurant in the neighborhood, we're partial to Le Bouclard, just a few minutes' walk away: it has a retro vibe, high-quality homemade food, a warm and welcoming staff, and an atmosphere straight out of a classic French film. It undoubtedly serves one of the best onion soups in all of Paris.
Any other ideas in the area? We tested and literally loved 3V near Gare Saint-Lazare: candles everywhere, elaborate lighting, an adorable welcome and a unique, tasty menu. One of our favorite places in Paris.
