Wood & Lakes is a luxurious 80m² cottage located on the edge of a private pond in Sourbrodt, in the heart of the Fagnes, Belgium. Construction was completed in 2023, so everything is brand new! Features include a Jacuzzi on the terrace and a private pontoon.

We stayed at Wood & Lakes and it was an absolutely rejuvenating evening and night for us. We were able to chat with the owners, light the fire, admire the beauty of the facilities, try out the lakeside jacuzzi and watch a film in the small private cinema. It's the best!

Prices start at about 300€ per night on weekdays and 536€ for 2 nights on weekdays. On weekends, a 2-night reservation is required at the price of 646€ with special check-out on Sunday at 5pm instead of 11am on other days.

On site, Thibault and Christina offer you a warm welcome to the estate. They'll accompany you on a guided tour and then let you take possession of the premises in complete tranquillity. Communication is possible in French, English or even Norwegian. Depending on your arrival time, you can enter your cottage on your own using the keypad.

Wood & Lakes houses 2 chalets: The Koselig and the Hytta. The Koselig is a chalet specially designed for couples, and is the one we tested and suggested you stay in. The Hytta is designed for 4 people. The 2 cottages are well spaced out and your privacy is totally respected. There's also the owners' house a little further away, but this doesn't get in the way at all.

Dogs are not allowed at Wood & Lakes , but if it's especially important to you, Thibaut offers a solution: you can choose to stay with your dog in the Hytta next door if it's available. The dining room and terrace will be furnished before your arrival. The price is the same, of course.

Wood & Lakes offers a Scandinavian-inspired interior design, very warm and soothing. You'll enjoy the following amenities: fully equipped modern kitchen, bathroom with Italian shower, spacious bedroom with magnificent lake view, large living room, cocooning gas stove, mezzanine with massage table and small private cinema room (upstairs) with large screen and 2 comfortable armchairs.

Outside, a large terrace awaits you, with a private Jacuzzi (covered) and a private pontoon on which you can paddle and canoe. When the weather's fine, you can enjoy a refreshing swim. The water is very clean.

Behind your chalet, on the edge of another small pond, you'll also find a sauna. This one is located at the edge of the wood, with a panoramic view. It has to be shared with the occupants of the other cottage, but that's no problem at all.

In the morning, it is best to go shopping in the village: there are 3 bakeries within walking distance. There is also tea and a Nespresso coffee machine with capsules included in the cottage.

For lunch and dinner, there are several restaurants within walking distance. We recommend these 3 addresses: Petit Mont Rigi (refined, creative cuisine, a real favorite) and Bar à Bout des Charmilles, a more relaxed, authentic setting. Another option: Belgium Peak Beer, one of the region's leading microbreweries. Wide choice of Belgian beers, sunny terrace, great view.

You are in the small village of Sourbrodt, a few minutes walk from the nature park of the High Fens. These moors, dotted with ancient marshes and wooden paths, offer a remarkable palette of landscapes! It is without doubt one of the most beautiful places in Belgium. Malmedy, with its many terraces and restaurants, can be reached in 15 minutes by car. And there is the Spa-Francorchamps circuit at 25 minutes.
